I tried the Raptor, I don't feel it, despite what those numbers say. Thokin is good though I can vouch for the Raptor on a Infiltrator thing melts enemies, just play it like its an assault rifle try to stick to short to medium range.

I agree with the poster above me. The Raptor is the only "assault rifle" I use.

What about the bullet spread though? The Raptors spread is crazy at range. I could respond with... Unlike all those other pinpoint accurate assault rifles? or Turbo says "Hi!" or The Harrier is an Ultra Rare and the Raptor is an Uncommon ...But of course I would be kidding and you would be totally correct. This game has no need of another gun that can actually kill things. Please feel free to continue using your Vanquisher on every single match.

I've used the vanquisher exactly in 1 match, and prefer the Black Widow - I roll with the Raptor, but would want something that doesn't have a scope built in.

The game is sorely lacking a semi-auto rifle that actually does good damage. Right now your choices are low damage full auto (many guns), pseudo-shotgun (Talon), or sniper rifles.

If you want to add pellet shotguns they all have 8 except Talon with 7 and Scattershot with 5. I'm going by how many shots I see after shooting a wall.

Currently, this DPS analysis is neglecting reload time.
Sniper rifles tend to have several seconds of reload time. So that 60 rounds per minute (or whatever) becomes sort of a joke because you wind up taking two seconds (or longer, depending on if you need to dodge or move) between each shot.
This is not the only issue, of course, and some non-sniper weapons have this one, and some of them have another issue (like sometimes they do no damage, for example).
Personally, I do keep an eye on DPS, but I also try to keep an eye on damage per clip, and other things (like weight and accuracy, and my own experiences).
Still... DPS is an ok place to start when choosing unfamiliar weapons.

Holy shit, that incisor! More than 4 times the DPS of the avenger can't possibly be right. Yeah seriously Incisor looking tasty as f*** Might have to pull that puppy out, got it at rank IX too. Here I thought the Vanquisher was the only worthy gun in the game, guess I was wrong. Now if only every other class of weapon that's not Sniper Rifles could get some guns with 1000+ DPS I'll be happy.

This is burst DPS, which is an absolutely meaningless stat (even more meaningless than clip DPS). Sustained DPS is generally the most telling one, but we need to know burst refire time and reload time in order to figure that out.

In what way did you find it good? I tried it on Silver and it sucked. It would be good with [much] better accuracy, or at least with a larger clip to compensate for how much it misses. As it is, Thokin is garbage even on Silver.

It will do ALOT of damage in a short timespan in the hands of a capable soldier.

Hey numbers don't lie, I don't care what the sustained DPS is, Incisor is doing something right if its burst DPS is almost double that of the Vanquisher, which is arguably the strongest/best gun in the game currently. Point still stands though, categories of weapons outside of Sniper Rifles have DPS ranges in the low-mid 400's to the high 600's while 2/3's of the Snipers have DPS's near or higher than 1000.

I don't think you understand what burst DPS means. If Predator fired in two-round bursts and those two rounds were fired with a 1 ms interval, it'd have burst DPS of 85,000. But you'd still be firing just two pathetic Predator bullets at a time. Burst DPS tells you nothing meaningful. Stop caring about it. It doesn't matter. For non-burst weapons the chart tells you clip DPS, which can be somewhat useful, mostly with weapons which have a substantially large clip and which spend relatively little time reloading the weapon - but only if you really understand what to take away from that stat. On sniper rifles with just a couple shots in the clip, it too is extremely unreliable measure for overall damage output. We really need to know reload times and burst refire times to have DPS stats that can be used in any way to make informed decisions.
