There is no excuse for a 2017 AAA game to be unplayably rubber banding, lagging out, and even hard crashing. I have 10 me/s DOWNLOAD speeds, and 20% of games are unplayable or just crash. Get your crap together EA.

Get your crap together EA. Peer to Peer relies more on a stable connection, and good routing, then downstream bandwidth, on top of that 10mb/sec downstream is laughable at best. Rubber Banding and lagging out, just Means the host' connection/routing isn't up to snuff.

Haven't had a crash, only seen a couple of games during the Origin Access trial where I was matched with people on potato internetz and bad laptops that caused a Little rubberbanding, and I don't seem to be hit by these "off host" issues people talk about (Not being able to hit with a sniper rifle is not a problem I have )

I have a good rig and a good connection, though. Not much luck with RNG, but I've had very few technical issues in multiplayer beyond occasionally being animation-locked after a revive, sometimes being unable to melee until firing a weapon or using an ability, or losing game audio. Had each of those two or three times since I started playing on the 20th.

Is multi it playable in its current state? I want honest opinions, guys. :smiles: Yay or nay? Mostly playable, for me like 8 out of 10 games are OK off host. But if you get on some laggy host, prepare to face considerable number of glitches and rubberbanding. Most of them are same as ME3, including sudden death with no shield gate or health gate and no enemies that you can see, powers and weapons not hitting, enemies jumping around and worst case is that you cannot move despite trying to run, this is purely DAIMP style. Some minor lag is usually still very much playable however.

They are just laughing at my requests for a better connection.

Unfortunately this is the laggiest MP game I have ever played. When I am not the host , 9 out of 10 games is almost unplayable . I guess my 300mb cable should be enough....I dont understand what's going on but Bioware should fix this BS asap, because it's hurting the experience very badly. The rubber banding is so extreme that makes me wonder if people uses a potato to have internet access or plays while they are downloading 65 porn movies at the same time on torrent

I used to have 1.5 down and could still reliably host and play non-lag matches on 360 or PC for ME3MP, various NHL and MLB games, COD, Battlefield, etc. and it didn't matter where my friends were from Brazil to Finland to New York to Montreal or wherever, and I'm up in buttfuck nowhere Canada.

I don't think it's poor connection ISP's, although they do make it worse.
Why does each client need "permission" to do things? Could they not just code the game so each client updates their position and the host be damned. In ME3 when you dodged a melee attack, you actually dodged it. In MEA you clearly evade and get staggered and take damage anyway. The Fiends are even worse, you can dodge with several meters to spare and get sync killed anyway.

The lag has decreased, but it is still noticable. I'm using a 2.2 MBit/s connection in darkest Africa (Germany).
I hope its the game and not my connection. I get a 200 ping in BF1 because my connection can't handle it.

Edit You are probably referring to Sniper in BF1
Also, how the rooster you are getting so high ping? I have mostly 30-40 ping with my potato connection (from Croatia)

The irony of this topic is that there are places in Africa that probably have much better Internet and less lag than you. I don't live in Africa but in a pretty underdeveloped country (by US/Western Europe standards) and I am paying 6 euro/month for 80Mbps download/upload. Also, strangely for me, despite still having issues, the connection seems much more stable than ME3MP/DAMP. Pretty sure BW have improved something, at least marginally so.
