I wouldn't build my hopes up just yet. The files are encrypted, same as with DAI (if not worse) where it was barely possible to change a name during the PT.

Please, please let this be a reality. An epic crash somehow ruined my Ryder twins' appearances (oversized heads, resulting in hair cropping all wrong and stuff, facial hair disappeared, etc.) and I was too far along before I noticed it (helmeted, LOL). I played the game to its's end having facially mutilated Ryders, and when I tried for New Game+, the sliders won't move at all so I still can't fix their faces. FML.

Damn straight. If anyone can get it done (because he has a track record of doing it), it's Gibbed. I love his stuff. I use the save editors a lot more often than console commands or trainers simply because it doesn't break the save. I do know it's going to be a challenge for Gibbed since it's Frostbite. Oh man... this just made me smile.

This thread was started a few months ago. Still no sign of the editor. I don't know that it's entirely necessary just yet. I found it most useful in regard to consequences. Since I had no idea what consequences there were for my actions in successive games it came in handy so I could continue on. Or, more to the point, if I did a NG in ME2 or ME3 I wanted to tweak things for my starting point. So far, I haven't found much need for mods in MEA. But if I knew what a gibbed editor could offer I might consider reinstalling.

Well I used Gibbed in the OT mainly to play around with plot flags relating to events from the previous installments. I also used it to make sure my fish were still alive from ME2. So I am not missing it in Andromeda since its the first of a new series. But I do love mods in any game and mods are the only reason I finished play through 3 and am on play through 4 right now. Specifically if Hypermobility mod or any one of the texture fixes I installed stop working I am going to chuck the game again. There is even one that shuts up all the repetitive weather warnings from SAM every time you step in front of or away from a heat lamp. I have also been tinkering with frosty suite myself and managed to give my DLC pathfinder weapons rank X stats at rank V so I can keep using them in NG+. The original weapon table shows that the game included data for rank VI to X for those weapons but they didn't add them to the game. I heard some people are working on a hypermobility mod for the nomad and that will significantly boost replayability for me! So my opinion on mods is that if you don't want them that just means you haven't tried one yet

Mods are essential in TES games. At least, I've always thought so. It's one reason why after playing Oblivion on a console (Morrowind was on PC), I had to buy it for PC as well in order to use mods.
Now, I didn't find much use for modding in ME1. At least not at first. I have used MEUITM but I haven't found it necessary. I use a same sex mod that just came out there year. I like it, but it's not absolutely necessary. ME2 I only used a mod to get me out of Cerberus clothes. I love being the only person in an Alliance uniform on a Cerberus ship. ME3 I use JAM and Anderson Extended Conversation. Have used EGM and might consider it again.
Now, nothing in ME works in ways the TES mods do. In TES mods can rewrite the story or create entire new quests.

Really makes a difference.

Agreed. Regarding ME 3 though you also should try Restored Engineer Recruitment and Restored Zaeed conversation. Really makes a difference. I'd very recently heard of something about the engineer recruitment but I thought it was part of a larger mod for some reason. This is recruiting Ken and Gabby in a way different from getting them pardoned? Does it have you actually recruit them following the pardoning rather than just appear on the Normandy? That's kind of cool. And, yeah, obviously something is missing with Zaeed. He tells you to see him in the Holding Docks but you never have a conversation with him. He's just suddenly a war asset. It would make sense that something is missing. I'll look for them. Assume they're on Nexus Mods.

The engineer mod has you recruit them in Purgatory and AFIK you don't do the pardon thing.

Instead of just getting a notification of the engineers being available, you can pick them up at the bar and have a few words with them. The mods are on the nexus, of course.
