Ket and Angara were unintelligible until I met the angara then...suddenly they weren't. Is it gonna explain that, or what? They weren't exactly chronicled languages we had time to decipher. Like the Angara were speaking their own language until Jaal and the one lady starting talking in english. Which they should have no way to understand. Even with translators.
Or are they seriously trying to imply that milky way and andromeda both developed the exact same translator technology?

The nearly instant translation didn't happen with the Kett language, so why did it happen with the Angara? And why did the Milky Way team learn to use the remnant technology almost immediately, while the Angara (who have been living there) couldn't figure it out? I'm not trying to nitpick, but for me, these issues are very obvious and pull me out of the game.

Well that can be excused by the exiles having met other Angara on places like Kadara and news of the other species having spread.

My guess was that SAM was offline during the first mission, so no one could understand, but you still could collect data. At some point on EOS you can understand the Kett, so I think at this point the translation works.
Maybe the Angaran speak a similar language, since they were able to talk to the Kett after all.
Why the Team from the Milky Way can use the technology, because of their advancement through the technology they found on Mars. The Angaran lost all their knowledge, because they have been at war for centuries.
That's at least how I understood all of this. Might need to pay more attention in my second playthrough, there is just so much information they throw at me.

Exiles have first contact with Angara on Kadara, Angara learn Milky Way languages from Exiles, they auto-translate every language and send the auto-translation to Ryder when he/she arrives on Aya to be able to communicate with them.
Kett in other hand kidnapped many Milky Way individuals and learn languages from them through more forces methods. SAM meanwhile learns to translate Kett language overtime and auto-translates it later for everyone.

seriously is it that difficult to understand how its possible for the Kett and the Angaran's to learn and understand and then speak milkway galaxy? The Exiles have had several contacts with the Angaran's for 14 months and in those 14 months the Angaran's learned our language and then the exiles learned the Angaran's language and updated both of their translators
The Kett don't care who you are they kidnapped many different milky way species and then learns from them with forceful methods and then you Ryder has the best Translator ever in both galaxies SAM who translates any languages in seconds for Ryder and then eventually for the rest of the crew so that they can hear/understand what the Kett and Angaran's are saying and then speaking to them so that they the Kett and Angaran's will hear and understand what we are saying

I'm not trying to nitpick, but for me, these issues are very obvious and pull me out of the game. The Angara and Kett don't have AI's like SAM. Spoilers for Voeld On Voeld it is revealed that the Kett have dug up an ancient AI from before the Scourge and if you read the notes on the terminals you learn that the Archon has ordered his troops to look for other AI as well.

I see. I haven't gotten to Voeld yet as I went to Havarl first. That explains why the Angara and Kett were behind, but not why Milky Way AI is essentially equivalent to space magic at this point. It's jarring to me, that the same civilizations that had a hard time deciphering the Crucible found tech from another galaxy so easy to decode.

They can also use said AI that they found to learn our language and speak it, still there is zero issues with the language at all and how the Angaran's and Kett know how to speak it

Plus we have SAM who can translate anything for us in a matter of seconds to a few hours while we go off doing a mission or two

Plus we have SAM who can translate anything for us in a matter of seconds to a few hours while we go off doing a mission or two I've only played ME3 once so I might be remembering wrong, but I thought they weren't sure what it was (other than "a weapon") or how it was going to work until they'd spent time working on it. Even the protheans failed to build it correctly. And yet we understand this alien Andromeda technology, which should have essentially nothing in common with Milky Way tech, in almost no time at all. I think it would have been a lot more believable if there had been more casualties than just Alec as we figured out how to use it. SAM being able to translate anything in a matter of seconds is the entire problem. In the Milky Way, there was an acceptable (to me) lore explanation for why all the species developed with some cultural and tech similarities. But here, the explanation is "space magic." There is no culture clash, no language barrier, not much left to discover about each other...the only real challenges are military and resource ones. That said, I'm not trying to convince you that this is a problem. If you don't have any issue with it, then good for you. But unless there is a much better explanation later in the game that manages to tie these two galaxies together somehow, it is probably going to continue to stick out for me, and stick out in a very bad way.

Only excuse I could find is that the Angara had contact with the Nexus Exiles previously, and thus could have learned the language from them.
Even so, it should have been explained, and Ryder should at least have had the option of being surprised.

Basically yes. But it makes sense because SAM notifies you in the intro mission that he's piecing together Kett language whenever you scan their stuff, but the problem is that they never give exposition later that the Kett can now be understood.
Massive, crucial, all-damaging oversight. Probably because Mac Walters is the guy who had to keep the full picture in mind and went "Awlrite, yep! That's it, we're done folks :dumb:"
