I am curious if they can fix the character creator through a patch. And whether they can or not I hope they give us something like the DA2 mirror where you could charnge the way your character looks after you started the game. Anyone know about this stuff?

Its rather unlikely that they can truely fix the CC because of the whole Alec Appearance BS.But I do wish they would make the defaults editable with a patch hell all I want is the ability to change the Hairstyles of Scott and Saras and Scots Facial Hair.

Giving us a real creator - not just a preset editor - like every previous game is what they should do, but I find it unlikely, even if they can just port over DA:I's CC framework and go from there. It might be too late for that, I don't know. What is within the realm of possibility (which I'd consider the least they could do to remedy the situation) is add a Mirror of Transformation style tool that allows you to edit appearance midgame (because apparently they forgot that DA:I got so much criticism for not having one they had to add it as free DLC...). Put it in your quarters on the Tempest. Crazy reconstruction surgery is a thing in ME, so it's not a lore issue. And not being able to change makeup, hair colour, facial hair etc. is inexcusable. Especially because of the ridiculous tattoos and blushes they have; they might be cool for a bit, but a whole playthrough? Secondly, they can and should add more options, such as skin tones (why can't we make someone as pale as the default twins?). Or just let us edit the default twins. More hair colour options are needed. They could add a slew of synthetic colours, but they can't have a natural red range? Come on. They need to let us edit complexion; it's just a texture. They need to let us edit eyebrow colour separately from scalp-hair colour - how hard could that be? Even DA:I's CC missed that. Eyebrow shape would be great, since it's also a texture... Additional hair/beard styles would be appreciated, but the previous things are a priority for me. Well, apparently I can TL;DR that by saying "Restore the options previous games gave us." All because someone had the bright idea that making minor adjustments to presets was better than being able to craft faces yourself

Yeah, I don't know how likely it is, but I'd say it's possible since they added one post-launch in DA:I. I'd rather keep my expectations low as well, though

No idea on if they're looking to add a way to changes looks after creating your character, but they e said they're looking into at least expanding the CC options. I'd be the default Sara Ryder if I could make my own slight tweaks, my own character is fugly. I was hoping for an in depth cc to really hammer out the looks but this cc as others said us essentially a character preset and nothing else. I wouldn't be suprised to see so many people having near identical Ryder's just cuz of how lackluster it is.

You could make much more unique looking characters in DA:I, that's for sure.

just look at the Archives. the Ryders of the same preset all look roughly the same, and you can usually tell what preset is being used just by looking at them.
it would be nice if they could overhaul the whole CC, but I doubt if they could do that.
at the very least, they need to add in options for lighter skin tones and make the skin tone slider universal to the presets.
also, they need to untie Alec Ryder from the presets and let us choose our own Alec Ryder preset. There are obviously 10 different Alec models ( default plus 9 presets ). Just let us choose which model we want to use.
