It says in a better beginning give Eos radiation time to clear. When does this happen or how long does it take? once you have given Eos a nice atmosphere and after the base is built. I would kinda like to do Eos missions without radiation. Or is that possible?

All you have to do is move the main plot forward a bit. You discover this new system. Land on one of the new planets. Then get back out and Eos should be set.

I found it all a bit strange. I built the outpost, then shortly afterwards viability was 100% and I could go almost anywhere. But I was still stopped by 'You are now leaving the missing area' messages. Then, out of the blue, two of my crew say that viability is now 100% and we should go back and check up on the place. I did this hoping for some new quests, or maybe a statue and a fanfare, but as far as I can see I'd already done all the quests. All in all, it fell a bit flat for me.

I felt i'd done everything, moved the story on, kallo says hey you should go check eos out, so I think that's awesome there's more to do...but nope. this kind of thing happens a lot, it just comes off as sloppy design.
