Hi, played the MP now for the past week and racked up 60+ hours in there on the PC version. Been playing around with combos in multiplayer but they just seem extremely weak. They do barely any damage after trying out several builds and seems the skills I use to trigger combos are what's causing damage and not the combo blast itself.
Many a time my target has been stood with other enemies and as the combo explodes with others in close proximity, it's done zero damage to them. Is this some kind of bug or are these " combos that cause devastating damage" as the game points out during some loading screens just pathetically weak because either way, it's bad and becoming really frustrating.
I was really excited for this MP having played a boatload of ME3 MP and the combos on there were extremely effective where as in Andromeda, for me on PC anyway, just flat out suck and are worthless. Anybody else experiencing this on PC??

Yup, extremely weak. Even with lvl 6 powers and skills that increase combo damage you will NOT be able to kill even the lowest tier enemies on Silver with one combo explosion. I really want to see if Bioware addresses or if this is going to continue as is.

You're playing this game wrong. You are not supposed to be using your powers to deal damage, you are supposed to spend money on packs to get weapons that deal 5x more damage than your powers.

I really want to see if Bioware addresses or if this is going to continue as is. Exactly, they barely do any damage even on bronze. Using a Human Male Vanguard X at level 20 and using shockwave as a primer and also comboing with my friends I play with they do nothing no matter the combo, wether being Biotic, Fire, Cryo or Tech. They feel almost broken. Me and my friend tried a combo using his Asari Adept and my Vanguard charge on an Adhi on bronze difficulty. After triggering the combo the Adhi had about 25% health left, and I believe the damage done to it was from the charge itself and not the combo. It really is bad compared to ME3 and the combo gameplay in that game's multiplayer. |

Wouldn't be surprised if they just copy-pasted the combo damage from single player, where you have a lot of ways to actually boost combo damage that aren't available in multiplayer.

cryo combos are particularly weak.
and they don't even slow enemies down for a noticeable time

I don't find power combos weak at all. Biotic Combos aren't as powerful against armor as before but armored targets are less numerous than ME3 and they are better against shielded targets now so it's a fair compromise. Fire Explosions are as good vs. armor as they've ever been. You also have to bare in mind that this is the base release and huge amount of powers and balance changes are hopefully still to come.

Combos in single player are weak as well. I got adept profile and +70% combo dsmage, cant kill a basic mook with only health layer with a single combo on hardcore. |
