Surviving the Ascendant sync kill (glitch?)

Are you using saving barrier? I've heard that can save you from sync kills.

Yep, and that's kind of what I thought. 

This happened to me earlier. I was specced into saving barrier. Fucking love it! But then I was promptly shot dead by destined and bled out because didn't have any medi gels so yes.

This is definitely a mechanic, op is probably reffering to the saving barrier evolution which I guess is a bug OR op as fuck.

I survived on my human vanguard exact same thing get grabbed end up surviving with 10% life and 100% shields. Its not saving barrier as my Vanguard has only gotten to rank 5 barrier. I guess it possible someone killed the orb but I don't think so as the ascendant was still in bubble shield when he let me go + I was in a room alone.

If it wasn't orb being killed then I believe its because I got 25%+30% shield HP from barrier + 10% from Juggernaut shield raising my shield+HP above the damage a full Ascendant grab cycle can do on bronze.

No better time for sync killing than when they're bleeding out on the floor. The ascendant probably thought of it as a mercy kill.

Oops forgot to include that, it was bronze. I'm still working on leveling kits, uncommon unlocks and common weapon challenges. I'm not wanting to trust randos all that much on silver just yet.

I am pretty sure you can survive any sync kill if you have enough durability coming from from somewhere in time, I have survived the fiend and ascendant's sync's numerous times on my krogan characters when I was in good enough shape before hand, not so much on silver, and never on gold, but often on bronze at least
