Not sure how widespread this issue is but it is very frustrating. Happens in single and multiplayer.
Basically anytime I make a kill especially with biotic or melee, everything freezes for a second or two and then continues. Game runs fine other than that.
If a squad mate or another player deals the kill it doesn't happen, its only when I do.
Lowering the settings, overclocking and updating/reverting drivers does not fix the issue.
I'm playing in 2560×1440 with i7 6700k and gtx980ti.
Anyone else experience this? Any ideas to fix?

What sort of CPU do you have?
Edit: DERP, just saw it.
I'm also playing at 2560x1440 (75Hz), on an i7 4790k / GTX 1070, and am not experiencing anything like this.
Buggy graphics aside, the game runs smooth as butter, with constant 60-70 FPS.
Could be a Maxwell vs. Pascal thing?
Anyone else having this issue?

I run that exact setup but haven't had that problem at all. What driver version are you running? I'm on 378.66 though I do have plenty of my own game issues primarily with me getting stuck behind cover.

I'm on the latest version but I reverted to previous and it still happened. I use a 165hz monitor with g sync and I turn off vertical sync.
Game runs smooth otherwise. Saw a few people have this problem on ea tech forums but no solutions there either.
At work right now ill post a dxdiag when I get home don't know if that will help if anyone here knows how to parse through that data.
