I noticed when you get multiple of the same characters they start to go from I to II and so on, but their stats don't change, so what is the benefit to it?
In SP I know stats change on weapons and armor, but not even sure if those change in MP.
Thanks!

Every odd number rank gives more appearance options and every even number rank gains extra skill points. A level 1 character at rank X will start with 25 skill points instead of 2.

It's a horrible change that kills build diversity unless you have grinded a character to X already. The worst is when you finally unlock a new shiny character and are excited to play it, only to later realize you will be forever gimped until you get the other 9 cards.

You get additional skill points. A grade ten character will have 25 skill points at level one. They're needed in order to truly max out a level twenty character.
