So, here is a thing I've been wondering about weapons mods:
Are the bronze colored common mods really the best ones? 'Cause that's what it looks like to me.
In the case of all other items, the color/rarety scheme mostly makes sense to me. Rarer items have slightly better stats overall. The one exception are the weapon mods, where bronze mods are like the standard mods we had in ME3, that will slightly increase one aspect of the weapon stats. Silver mods however are more like the mods we got in the ME3 DLCs, that increase one stat a little more but also decrease another stat. However, looking at the numbers, overall, those silver mods are worse. Yes, you may gain an extra 2% for one stat, over the equivalent bronze mod but it's not worth it if you also get a 10%+ decrease in something else.
Am I missing something here that's not really visible in the info displayed or should I keep sticking to bronze mods for my weapons?
