Probably Dana Ryder, because all my first-playthrough human females in any game are redheads named Dana, because Scully.

But I don't know that I'll be able to resist naming an infiltrator Ghost Ryder.

For some reason the name "Will" has been in my brain for a while so I guess it's going to be Will Ryder. Kind of has to be a somewhat generic name since we don't know anything about the character or how much control we'll have over their personality. Once I have a complete playthrough I'll be able to form a more solid player character, just like with my various Shepards I think my first one was Aidan or something lol but ultimately my favorite ended up being bad ass renegade Nicodemus "Nic" Shepard.

For my first character, which I try to always use the female protagonist first, I might use Kathryn.
I've been figuring out how to do a version of Janeway in the trilogy but Shepard never seemed
to fit what I was trying to go for. So Andromeda seems like it would be a good time to try that
character out, being in a different galaxy far from home. I haven't planned out a name for my male protag
quite yet however.

Bod Ryder (Bod in irish means dick), I plan on role-playing him as an irish space slut.

I usually do a female character and try and do Nora for the first name, but have been going with other names like Kinessa and Sam.

My mass effect femshep was Elizabeth Shepard, Elizabeth Ryder doesn't sound too bad though. We'll see how the beginning goes.

My choices are pretty boring. I started ME after ME2 came out. I bought ME2, then learned that play of ME could be imported into ME2 and would effect the outcome. So went back and bought ME. Because Shepard carried through, I got into the habit of picking a name for the character that reflected Shepard's gender, class and LI (if any). This helped me keep the storylines straight in subsequent games.

Assuming Bioware doesn't flip to the DA mode, with a new protagonist with each release, I'll be doing the same with MEA. So ... way boring. But since Shepard was only referenced as Shepard ... the only place I ever saw the full name was in the save file name. So really, I just don't care. I'll probably pick a different base name (which identifies male or female for me) than what I used for ME/ME2/ME3 ...
