On Gold...
I got absolutely destroyed while using my main character, pretty much all factions rekt me except for the reapers.
Ive been telling myself that Andromeda multiplayer is harder and that sort of thing but being honest I dont really think thats the case anymore. I felt that I had a lot less margin for error in ME3 multiplayer and if you get out of position for half a second a collector trooper can absolutely destroy your entire shields and health.
Most of the added difficulty in my opinion is that in Andromeda it is much easier to break line of sight with enemies that shoot at you and run away when in danger, in ME3 if youre in a bad spot and youre not using a tanky character you will go down easily unless you can kill everything before they start shooting at you, it is also much easier to get cornered and ganged up by the enemies because of the lack of movement options, it was brutal.

The grass is always greener.
Likely, facts are that TTK in both games on Gold are quite low. Even with a tanky character like the Turian Soldier in MEAMP - fully upgraded with Fortify and Fitness, you are not going to stand there forever and take shots. Lots of stuff will make your day turn bad if you just try and soak.
I can't imagine how it must be for the lesser classes without Tech Armour / Fortify.

Yeah, the mobility we get in MEA, not to mention the rather dopey AI allows you to literally run circles around everything - especially on some maps where you can jump/dash, cast while jumping and end up in different rooms to cover LoS.
I really think the jetpack should have an "endurance" or fuel bar that replenishes itself so you can't chain spam jumps and dodges, otherwise not only is great mobility too easily accessible but also stylistically it looks kind of stupid to see players jumping around all over the place non stop a mass effect game.
In some ways it is much easier than ME3, now that we are getting used to it.
However some objectives can be even more difficult than ME3 due to the aggressive AI if the objective is in a bad spot - ie certain uploads or devices.

ME3 had lethality on both ways. You had to hold the enemies advance but it was possible to kill them faster. Now it's more of an atrition thing by how easier it is to get away but how harder it is to kill stuff

The big difference aside from AP gear, is I knew where the enemy would spawn the majority of the time based on where the team was and they were predictable, here things are very different and the AI is a far greater challenge
