So bit of background - Mass Effect is my favourite video gaming franchise, I have always fell in love with the epic story, characters, and gameplay. To show you how much of a Mass Effect fan I am, when I completed the original trilogy, I played the Multiplayer mode in ME3 solely for an ENTIRE YEAR! That's how much I loved it.
So imagine my disappointment, when I started playing multiplayer on Andromeda, only to see visuals that looked like they were from a last generation console! Maybe I am remembering ME3 with rose-tinted glasses, but I could have sworn that multiplayer in ME3 looked WAAAAAYYY nicer than in Andromeda... |

Graphics aren't bad per say imo but what hampers them is the level layouts which is crammed with bldgs and cover and very few open areas. Also the the fast pace of the game and making you constantly be on the move leaves little chance to look around and get a nice good look at creatures and or landscape.
I finally got a good look at the Kett bubble boy boss and he looked really cool, of course I was doing this in spectator mode laying dead at his feet.

Bottom line is the devs have been jacking off to too much mass effect porn which is why we have the cartoonish looking shit that they put out. Taliwack on devs. If I were making a game for the Bioware fanbase, I'd feel constrained to put most of my development funding into sex scenes with every combination of sex and species (and then double the number of romances to account for trans characters). Anything else I put in (like plot or gunfights or whatever) would be gravy. |

Same here, OP, andromeda vids sure look like arcade games from 15 years ago. I still dont get how it s not the major setback yet.
I thought in game feeling was better though

I've started playing ME3MP in the fall of 2016, and switched to Andromeda. I have never played consoles. I feel Andromeda is slightly brighter and prettier than ME3MP, and I like the graphics in both. I like that many Andromeda characters do not wear helmets, it makes me chose some characters for their visual appeal. :) I don't really have a clue what is it specifically that people want from graphics when they complain. As long as it has an artistic unity, and does not look too much like overly-real stuff (I don't know how to explain it; I guess, I like when it looks painted and with some emotion and fantasy/sci-fi element to it???), and the characters are attractive, I am happy with it.
Uhm, not sure what else to say. I like both, I guess, but don't see the point to play ME3MP now?

ME3, despite being a lot older, actually looks better to me. I'm thinking MEA is overly complicated (especially with all this jumping around like fleas on crack) and the screen is messy. Trying hard to like MEA, but having my doubts at the moment |

I could also cite the body proportions and a lot of other things but to sum it up: IMO somebody went through a lot of trouble to make people look worse in this new game. |

docsteely the top image looks friendlier, the bottom one angrier, the top one is fuzzier, the bottom one is sharper.... but in terms of relative attractiveness, I say both are about the same, though the second has more regular features and top one I think is pug-nosed? Both have those long oval faces the men seem to apparently love as I found out reading these forums.

Must be a personal problem, as there are only 5 people viewing this forums. Rest are everywhere else. Seems like a pretty big deal, as the "pvp" community always first and loudest  I solo MP as best I can, even in a private lobby I somehow get people joining. Odd. Not once have I heard someone in game complain about anything besides being shown up "by a girl". Want good maps, go back to CoD. Or Battlefield. Don't start ruining ME with PvP dribble and complaints. Out. Won't come back to this forum |
