I've seen a couple people complain about key bindings or how it's hard to keep up with all those keys.
Sometimes, it's just a matter of putting the right things at the "right" place. I'm terribad with the default bindings, yet I have no problem to keep up on Gold with these:
Power 1 > Shift Power 2 > CTL Power 3 > Space Jump > E Mantle > E Dash > Q Interact > 2 Sprint > TAB / Mousewheel Up / Mousewheel Down
Other keys keep the default bindings. If your keyboard is not QWERTY, adjust accordingly.
Why do I put powers on Shift, CTRL and Space? Because while you move with WASD, you thumb and little finger are free. Trying to press 1, 2 or 3 while moving is less effective since you have to move one of your fingers away from WASD, but the Shift, CTL and Space scheme doesn't have this drawback. Thus, you can cast pretty freaking fast while moving without the possibility of hitting the ~ (console key that gets you killed all the time)
But Jump and Mantle have the same key binding Yes and it's fine. You hardly need to use Mantle and when you really need to, you just have to be in cover, move toward where you want to go and press E, which will make you go over cover. It requires a tiny bit of practice, but it's worth it. The Jump being on E is easily accessible while moving forward, which makes time reaction much better.
Why is Dash on Q? Because it's a "line" concept. W is moving forward, E is jump, Q is Dash. Those are your 3 most used key to move around and they're easily accessible to your fingers #2, #3 and #4. They make a line QWE on the keyboard
Why is Interact on 2? Because it's not used much and 2 or 3 would be the easiest to access when everything else has been binded to another key. You usually have a bit more time when it's time to use this key, you're less in a hurray than other situations so it's not a problem if you need more time to locate the right key on the keyboard. This is about reaction time and 2 or 3 are good compromises for something easy and accessible.
Sprint? This one is a bit more of a personal preference. You want something easily accessible, yet the easiest keys are already taken by more important functions.
I personally use a mouse which have a thumb button, so it's easy for me to just grab the mouse and forget about Sprint.
If you don't have the luxury of a gaming mouse, you can always use either Mousewheel Up or Down. You don't need 2 buttons for Previous/Next Weapon when there's only 2 choices. Both Previous and Next are the same thing. Might as well change the default binding for one of them and get the benefits from a pretty easy access.
In last resort, you can use whatever floats your boat, but I'd go with TAB since it's the only key that is "near" and isn't assigned yet.
There you have it, even if I'm terribad with a keyboard, I can keep up with everyone even on Gold with these bindings. I hope it helps some of you overcome these difficulties, because not everybody is a master at using the default bindigns.

I changed the default key bindings to be as close to ME3 as possible, so years of muscle memory wouldn't be lost.
In my case, I put dodge on left Alt and Grab on E. Ops-packs are mapped to a mouse button and left/right handed stance to the wheel button.
Consumables are on 5-8 and X is to switch weapons. Interact is on C.

Looks like a cool alternate lay out. Unfortunately I play on console so I'm stuck with what BW gave me. I do have some questions for you:
1. If you bind dash to Q, doesn't that prevent you from dodging to the left (A+Q)? 2. I like your rational for putting mantle and jump on the same key make perfect sense. But why not put mantle and dash on the same key (that's what I have on console)? Personal preference?

I wish we were allowed to change the button mapping on console. I'm not sure why this isn't part of the game but it seems kind of ridiculous. On the Tsol my left bumper is Fortification, when it should be the middle two bumpers as it doesn't get spammed

I've seen a couple people complain about key bindings or how it's hard to keep up with all those keys. My problem, personally, wasn't with the ones that did exist, but the ones that didn't exist. This was sorted out, for the most part. My issues stemmed from console command that shouldn't exist in MP (I'm going to try to rebind) and a keyboard shortcut that affects all games, not just MEAMP (again rebind). May I ask how you intend to rebind it? Cause it bugs me so much, I click on this damn button at least once a match and would love to be able to disable the console

I only changed dash/evade to b. I am fine with everything else. Years of MMO training I guess. I also have a razer chrome mouse, so hitting the 1-= is easy.

The problem is that I use that key to mute myself in teamspeak since it´s one of the few not normally used by games and I don´t really wanna play around with another key for that - plus i´m so used to it. If we cannot change the ini or something it would at least be nice if Bioware could disable that command in mp.

I always wonder if people who complain about default keybindings are somehow stupid. I mean, seriously... first thing I do in every game is go set it up properly. Video, Audio, Gameplay Options and obviously Keybindings. I rarely use any key of the default settings aside from "s" for moving backwards. I also like to bind many keys to the mouse. Dash on the keyboard like OP has it would never work for me because I need my fingers on QWES (which is my movement instead of WASD which I find super weird since forever) so when I jump and dash with a mousebinding (not Mousewheel-Click) I can control the direction. Same goes for powers. Basically everything crucial has to be on ALT, SPACE for the thumb and some minor stuff on CTRL and SHIFT for the pinky and the rest is on the mouse or not that important.

Well I'm not complaining, just insulting people who apparently are not capable of checking the settings and configuring their own controls...

I had no trouble with ME3's keybinds, so all I did was swap sprint and jump because for some odd reason they but jump on the old sprint button, and put mantle on the spacebar as well, since it felt wrong to have to hit a different key to keep running forwards. I don't know why anyone would move dodge off of the mousewheel-click (well, unless you don't have a clickable mousewheel I guess). I feel like its THE most convenient place for it.
