This thing is just terrible...even on the Turian Havoc Trooper with Turbo Boost and accuracy bonuses and on everything else. The rev-up time leaves you vulnerable and it even when at full-auto it does very little damage. This thing seems to be another example of URs generally sucking.

Just unlocked this today but haven't used it yet, and now I probably won't after reading this. The stats look okay but clearly they don't tell the whole story. What was even the point in including all these terrible weapons in the game? Just why.

Damn,lv 8 already. Should I thank you for future free DLCs or you found some incredibly effective farming method.

Friend of mine used it for the first time yesterday. Pretty sure I heard the Kett Anointed he was shooting at burst out in laughter from the other side of the fucking map before my friend had to rage-gel.

What was even the point in including all these terrible weapons in the game? Just why. Think microtransactions. Makes all sense now beefing up the lootpile with clutter, right?

Used it a game on a krogan merc earlier specced for max accuracy. Still can't hit a barn door even with that specc and jsut tickles unless you stuff it up inside the enemies head. Then it does something but not a lot.

Now we know why the Claymore is not in the game. It was too good.

All I want is one good shotty, my favorite class of weapon. I like the piranha in single player but haven't gotten it in MP yet to see if I like it as well. My other shotties including my N7 Crusader are basically trash. Disciple is half decent but still gimp compared to sniper and pistol options.

Ah, the classic 'i dont know how to use a weapon so it must be the weapon thats bad' argument. Don't know what your problem is man but let's keep it civil. If you think the Soned is a good weapon tell me why and how and maybe I can learn. No one I know who has used it thinks it is good. Guess we all have no clue? The best kit for it seems to be the Havoc Trooper but even on that one there are much better choices but anyway, since you are shitposting let's see you back it up with evidence.

I think guns like this (and the Typhoon in ME3) really benefited from the accuracy + stability boosts from hard cover. I have a Soned 1.. and it's pretty bad. I feel it would be better if I could consistently hit the head.. but you could say the same thing for a bunch of other guns in the game too. Assault Rifles are my favorite weapon class, and unfortunately I haven't found one I'm thrilled with. The Revenant is the best one so far.. I have it at 8. The Thokin is very inconsistent for me, even burst firing it.

I honestly think on weapon kits the Revenant is most reliable. The Soned needs both a spread reduction and a damage boost. It has nothing on the Typhoon.

I got it at level 1 last night but only tried it in 1 match.. thought it would be an improvement over the Cyclone but sadly I'm not that impressed.. seeing the comment that it does not get that much better at level VIII is not great...

Anointed and Destined snipe you with their guns from the other side of the map as if nothing. I think the problem is that our accuracy and stability mods are capped at X. They use MDCCXLI versions, which makes these guns usable beyond point-blank.

Weapons need rebalancing. It is actually best on the Merc, and still only ok. I'm thinking accuracy boosts don't help it at all since the expanding reticle in sustained is the same. Sustained fire being the only way to go. It's not like you can snipe with it
What it does benefit from is munitions 6a, which krogan has, for the rapid defense debuff; munitions 5b, for the magazine increase and fast reload; and flamethrower 5b, for its dot, something which can be applied instantly and often to multiple enemies to help your dps
Once the soned is wound up you can actually dodge, flame, melee and the soned will keep shooting right after so long as the shooting button is held
