Well ive posted on the nexus forums about this original default Sara but havent had a reply yet...I will keep going until i get an answer either way. It might be easier to look through the Mass Effect Archives and see if someone has created a custom Ryder that you will like. Mass Effect ArchivesEdit: Fixed link. I have, and whilst there are lots of nice ones I dont think any are as nice as this original default. I have several faces bookmarked on the Archives for future PTs but I really would like to use this version of the default Sara.

I ended up going with default Sara. Far from perfect, but ok, and far better than any of the other 'freak show' options.....

Well there is a small ray of hope on the 'original default Sara' face, apparently Frostbite patches dont actually overwrite files so the original face files may still be installed somewhere...and if they are it just needs someone to find a way to access them. This sort of thing was possible in DAI so im hopeful.
I dont know why but I have become slightly obsessed with this version of Sara. Maybe because she reminds me of the Underworld version of Lara Croft, which is my favourite verison of Ms Croft.

From what I understand coders are looking at MEA currently so see about modding possibilities. The structure of the files is nearly identical to DAI, and the file formats are identical, so in theory modding it should be possible. I'd expect textures, hair edits, armor swaps ala Live Like Viv or the like (a mod that allows the Inquisitor to wear Vivienne's clothes, Dorian and Sera have one too.), and bare bones romance mods. Possibly power and class (or profile, whatever) edits, that kind of stuff.
Right now what can be edited in Frostbite are ebx files, plot flags (so, the romance mods, basically), textures, and original meshes. True, full importing of meshes still hasn't been achieved (if you've ever wondered why most of the available hair mods are so...well, underwhelming, it's because no one's figured out how to import a new mesh or an edited mesh that has more vertices than the original. Hence, all mesh mods must be a very very carefully edited version of the original, with no changes to the basic structure.) So I wouldn't expect new models of anything, guns or armor, other than making previously unplayable models equippable by the pc through ebx model swaps or the use of Cheat Engine.
All that said, Mass Effect modders have managed to achieve a lot in the past, and imo the mod community tends to be more tech savvy, in a coding sense, than the DA community, for whatever reason. So I wouldn't be too surprised if this is the game where people finally crack some of the trickier issues modding Frostbite presents, but I still wouldn't expect anything near on par with what's achievable now in the old trilogy.

Im assuming texture mods will soon be arriving but will we ever see new models added, like new weapons or armor or even a realistically scaled Tempest (that thing is way too small when on a planet) How about major game altering stuff like the Galaxy mod for ME3? Greetings again BSN MIP3 thread poster. M.I.P. #4EVER! If you can forgive the wall of text maybe this be of help to you: We already know that there is a form of the Coalesced file back in ME:A. The basic command codes that make it possible to fly, unlimited respec, move faster, unrestrict weapons and change abilities across rogue, mage or warrior currently with DA:I will probably be possible down the line via this C.File... trial and error testing needed first though. Of course the correcting of the errors by modifying this file may take a while to correct vis-a-vis: ME2FIXER. Yet when this becomes available... Maybe we can't get new weapons but maybe NPC only guns we can use. We may not be able to get new models in game but maybe use NPC models... run around as a fiend... why did I even think that??? As to Frostbite... That maybe a bit more difficult. Though it will not be ever be totally impossible... nothing ever is. We do know that the modding of DAI is not limited to retextures and hair color changes with mods -as some have said. As to mods not working with DLC's -if there is enough interest many modders will update their mods to work with DLC -granting a few exceptions. I currently use a great many mods for DAI (List below) and not all are just retextures of clothing or hair. With the intricate necessities that ME3 had with the EGM -a great mod by the way. It may not be possible at current to make a ME:A equivalent. Nevertheless one should not give up hope that it may be possible. There were tools that at one time were being worked on for the Frostbyte engine. Yet last I knew and at present... IF I am correct these tools were abandon... Maybe ME:A could revitalize that project -or here is so to hoping: greydynamics.github.io/Frostbite3_Editor/Also there is the possibility that has the years go on maybe Frostbyte gets easier to get into and change. I mean there was a time that UR3 -that the trilogy was built on could not get texture mods via anything but Texmod. Now instead of loading it Every Single Time they can be surplanted into the games permanently via the ME3 EXPLORER for ALL 3 GAMES!. A program as I recall that didn't really get out the door in very completed phase till mid 2015 -2 1/2+ years after ME3 release. Sorry but ive yet so see a CC creation (great as alot of them are) thats as good as this original default IMO. Plus you dont run the risk of getting a goomba Alec.
If my MEA experience is anything like my MEOT experience then I will be doing multiple runs using both custom and default characters...so while I will be using some of the nice faces people have made I still really want this original face for any default runs I make.

Sorry trying to install the game again...stupid slow download speed. Does that persons' link I gave really create a loony dad look? Goomba? Congrats. Have not heard that word in ages. Is the father face so customized that even two identically created male Ryders except for different eye color would give me one father0 that would resemble James Earl Jones and the other Ken Watanabe?
