My Review in Progress, or How to love an Imperfect Game

I love this game the way people actually act in relationships - I love it despite its flaws because I actually enjoy spending time in this world and realize that sometimes that will be boring and annoying. Sure, sometimes this game does the equivalent of leaving its laundry on the floor, or failing to take out the trash, or squeezing the toothpaste in the wrong way, but that really doesn't change how much I enjoy playing in this universe.
OK, so i realize this is a bit of a weird metaphor, but the point is that this is an immensely fun game even if it has some obvious flaws that can be annoying and frustrating at times. The story, so far (I am part way through Kadara), is engaging and the characters are too. The scenery is gorgeous and exploring it is exactly what makes open worlds enjoyable. And, while i never thought i would say it for a Mass Effect game, combat is just a blast (pun intended!).
Sure there are problems. Yes, the facial animations are just bad at times, and there are more glitches than Fallout or Skyrim, which is a high bar. And yes, the there is a general feeling that in several areas of the game it is just a bit incomplete. It is in many ways an 8/10 game.
It's not perfect but its just so much fun, I don't care! I still love it.
