Probably a bad idea, but I'm looking at that 30% melee bonus from the Power Armor upgrade and it is tempting.

Seems like a good idea to me. Nova does roughly the same damage as one attack, so if you get in 3 attacks per nova the fortify does more damage and also survivability.

Fortify is much better for the increased survivability as well as the melee damage. Plus, you have the AoE stun on 6B which you can use to create Tech Explosions which stun as well. Much more useful than Nova imo.

Fortify 6B also has an exploit where you can deactivate for blast then quickly reactivate before the cooldown triggers, giving you infinite fortify blasts (although whether it is re-applied correctly is another question and needs testing)

This is probably what I'll be doing at some point. Skipping nova isn't a mistake because it's an absolutely terrible power unfortunately, it does practically no damage, has a huge cooldown and the biotic combos it produces are worse than pathetic. It has the be the worst power in the game hands down. R.I.P. nova from me3mp. Waste of points to spec into nova.

Yup. Nova is buns.
My only debate with the kroguard is which option to go for during the 5th section of rage. My dudes only level 6. Not sure if I want to go for the +100 Health Regen and Shield or the scaling Melee boost. I'm leaning towards Melee boost.
Have any of you tried both?

Hmm, glad I'm not alone in thinking this, now my only other thought is 6a vs 6b, I feel like being able to charge 75% more often would lend itself to better survivability than what 6b offers.
As far as what to do with rage, I took the melee, since charge is going to be keeping your shields up, it didn't seem as useful to me.

Well I wouldn't recommend skipping Nova since you can prime Shield and Armor with 6A upgrade. Also if you take the Berserker and health regen upgrades, they allow you to tank with your health. You can also force proc rage when HP is 33% or lower which is neat since you can start a match with Rage by jumping to the pits 3 times.

I find myself using nova less and less. Jump-/melee does comparable damage AND regenerates some shield AND there seems to be some extra frames in the end of nova animation where enemies can get a free hit in... Its basically seems risky, with no immediate rewards. -I will typically do it on hack/upload/extract if there are 3+ enemies crowding the area. -I also do it before reviving sometimes. (You can start the revive during the animation, if im not entirely mistaken.) So typically 1-3 times in a match.
Edit oops forgot to mention Im Human VG.

Considering you can almost cancel a jump attack so that you're literally just standing up with the punch FX going off on your feet, nova is essentially useless aside from priming.

I just use nova for the invulnerability frames to save meyself (maybe) till I can charge again, so 1 point is good for me gold tested
