Just unlocked her last night and am interested in trying her out. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should build towards?

I'm away from home for two weeks so I haven't gotten to test it out just yet but I'm thinking a melee build that uses Energy Drain/Backlash to keep shields up might be beast. She has a lot of melee damage increase ranks in her skills (skipping Throw) and though she won't be able to face-tank quite like the Asari Adept regaining shields with every punch landed, she does have other means of getting shields back that should also synergize well with said punching in the face (i.e. stripping shields and stunning foes with ED to regain shields before throwing hands at those beeyotches might almost make up for the lack of a 40% debuff the AA gets while punching in Annihilation's radius to regain hers).
Or you can skip Backlash and just prime everything with ED and blow em up with Throw if you don't wanna be a hipster.

Yes. Link here6baa 1 1 6bab 6baa. With card II (character cards go from I-X, gradually granting more talent points) Way too sleepy to attempt an in depth explanation lol, but either way she is strongest with some variation on 5+ Backlash. No matter how you cut it Backlash is the strongest of her powers, in concert with her passives which give her strong gun & melee boost. Put a weapon of choice (currently running a Talon with her) and a Vanquisher (what else) and you're set One variation for example can be 5ab 2 3 6bab 6baa for killer Backlash reflect and slightly faster Throw and Shield Drain cooldowns. No matter how speced those other cooldowns will always be long, and as you've noticed, Throw is fun and useful.. and meh, and Shield Drain doesn't do anything Example gold gameplay using a silver scrub build leftover from when I was beelining for the krogan Merc: Lacking passives but shows mobile playstyle with backlash Hopefully by the time you're level 20 you will have at least card II, though that will mean buying advanced packs instead of something better. If still card I, then 5ab. 1. 2. 6bab. 6baa should be good. Specd fast Throw cooldowns to see but although fun to repel more Adhi, really cuts down on her soloing ability and damage output. Those points are needed elsewhere, until one day card X

Backlash is the backbone of this class. I go for Durability, Reflection, and Damage Aftermath. Works wonders against Observers and Nullifiers. I also dump points into Energy Drain. I know that people say it, along with all the other powers in this game, are trash; I disagree. If all the powers and guns are trash, then why is Gold not all that difficult (even without Vanquishers or Vanguards)? Extended Drain primes for tech combos (which are awesome BTW because they temporarily stun enemies moving through them), and Team Drain offers shields to your teammates. I don't spend any points in Throw, because I just don't care about it other than setting off my tech combos. Oh, and another plus to the Extended Drain evolution is that it can detonate when you throw it on an enemy that is already primed, then can immediately be followed up with throw for another combo. On Offensive Biotics, I spec into Power Efficiency, Combo Detonation, and Biotic Expert. I won't bother giving advice on Barrier, because... well... I'm pretty sure every already knows what to do there.

I actually love energy drain. So much in fact that when i started leveling another character i was dying alot because I was so use to energy drain. My sentinel is level 20 but it's the only silver i don't have more cards for. So right now I'm at 1/2/6/5/6, when I get more I plan on going either 1/6/6/6/6 or 3/6/6/5/6. Energy drain goes through walls and can be on a very fast cool down. It can give 80% shield to you and 50% for allies every 5-6 seconds. Prime and detonate. Throw with some practice can be used to curve and hit enemies behind cover.
I played a few gold matches with a Solarian Operator for the first time. And we just camped the one sine of Base zero. All the revenant were channeling down the hallway. So with his rank 6 invasion and unknown rank for shield boost, with my energy drain we never died. And at rank 1 backlash I could still reflect the observers and nulifiers to make them kill themselfs.
Now since I like backlash, what I want to do is have a full backlash build on the duelist. That could be fun.

I have unknowingly gotten her at level X already. Anyway she's the character I find myself going back to outside my kroguard, she's feels a great all rounder & offers great squad support.
I'm thinking of completely bypassing throw as to max offensive tree...or is it at least worth dropping a few into throw?

You could go 6/1/6/6/6 or 6/3/6/5/6 or other. She one of the most versatile characters.

I don't spec more than 1 point in throw because honestly combo detonation damage sucks and is the only reason to spec throw for extra detonation damage.
I also consider throw an annoyance if you're not running a long range weapon like a sniper since it just makes hitting targets harder and you don't get to use melee empowerments from using backlash.
Energy Drain is supreme. How can anyone think it's bad? Get back 80%+ shields, regenerate even more over 4 seconds, and grant half of the shields back to allies nearby while priming and detonating in one ability and doing bonus damage to shields.
Add to that maxing backlash, on top of taking all damage resistance passives and you got one of the tankiest characters in the game that also happen to be pretty versatile.

I originally tried doing a detonation build since the Asari Sentinel gets two 30% combo damage bonuses but it really doesn't matter much, especially since tech combos don't deal damage and just electrify an area. As a result the only good option is to leave Throw at 1 point and go for weapon damage synergies and recharge speed. Thankfully, Biotic Warrior combos great with Damage Aftermath.

Just got my Human Fem Sent to 20, VIII and she is fun with Revenant + cryo + stun from fence. My Asari Sent is already X so maybe I will run her to 20 - thx for all comments here.

I favor a more offensive build of 56564.
Backlash - Durability, Reflection Double Throw Energy Drain - Extended Drain (primer) Offensive Biotics - Power Efficiency, Weapons and Melee, Biotic Warrior Tech Armor - Protection
I don't find it worthwhile to max Backlash since you have to absorb more damage to get a significant shield or damage buff, and it forces a longer cooldown for only a 3 second buff. I'd rather just tap it to activate Biotic Warrior for more consistent damage. Energy Drain > Throw for a Tech Combo, possible the only combo that isn't trash. With 2 detonators she loves an ammo power too. A good, well-rounded kit in my opinion.
