Maybe they took them out because grab kills were too good (instant kill, invincibility frames). But they were so satisfying.

Sad but true from my understanding. It wasn't because of balance reasons, more technical ones.

Nonetheless I would still like to express how sad I get whenever I run up to cover with a "grab-able" enemy behind it.. only to remember... oh.. right.. I can't.
