I remember running gold and platinum with the Mantis X with a base common Infiltrator, in this game your stuck with the Viper and that gun is pretty aweful. I can do silver with it pretty easy but the low mag size and slowish rate of fire are just plain bad, the Raptor I I have is better that thing just melts stuff in silver. Any other Infiltrator players feel the same?

The only reason I can see removing it is because of the Isharay. Having the mantis would mean 3 one shot weapons.

I miss the mantis, the javelin and the kishock too.
I miss the claymore, the wraith, the graal.
I miss the saber, the harrier, the ppr, the typhoon, the argus
I miss the arc pistol.

I just miss the mantis cuz it was sooo good for a common weapon, made lvling less of a pain when you had at least one good weapon to fall back on in the beginning. |

Widow is the new mantis. It went from rare to uncommon, which is okay with me. It doesn't take long to get it X, and it does absurd damage for its rarity. I'm almost hoping I don't get any more rare sniper unlocks because I'm loving the widow and don't want to let it go XD

I remember being very underwhelmed by the Argus X and I decided to use it hardly at all. But I can't recall ever trying it out on a Soldier with stability/accuracy boosts. Try achieve 100% stability. That comes with stab damper + barrage upgrade or as armor bonus stabilization module. Or with a Turian character and one of those 3. That removes the kickback. Destroyer mode, Hunter Mode or Marksman makes miracles with its accuracy, but otherwise its still fine close range up until close-med or mediumish range. With disruptor or phasic a three shot burst kills a shielded gold mook (aim the head). But for boss killing its not great. I liked to use with destroyer soldier or with TSol or Saboturian. There was a nice thread about that build on the old BSN. But i can't find it anymore. |
