Absolutely not. They should add more sync kills to game the game more interesting. Phantoms were such formidable opponents in the previous game, we have nothing like that in this game apart from the kett guy. Game needs more syncing. I like seeing pugs getting synced.

I don't mind instakilling if I play badly, but the getting grabbed across half the map has to go (clearly a sync/bug issue).

No, sync kills themselves are fine, but they do need to fix the Fiend's super stretchy arms that magically go through walls and floors.

No, but the hydras melee and the destroyers death field (i guess its a type of melee) should be sync kills. No reason why the kett should get two and everyone else gets nothing. Hydras do sync kill, Destroyer is already the most powerful out of the bosses in terms of life and firepower, doesnt need syncs tbh

I agree the Fiend's "Mr. Fantastic" ability to sync kill is ridiculous. Otherwise I'm okay with them. If they had to change them in general, maybe require 2 packs to revive yourself instead of 1? Or reduce the revive time by half?

I think what is meant are the you are dead perma forever never coming back that round dead sync kills.

I like the sync kills, as long as they are telegraphed properly and there is not lag. Even with a bit lag, it is easy to notice if an Ascendant is about to grab you from behind, and the Hydra's grab is also well telegraphed (I think it should be a sync kill; Hydra is a joke otherwise). I have yet to actually notice a telegraph from the Fiend.

Hydras do have a sync kill; if it swings horizontally than it's a melee. If it extends its right arm into a bludgeon and swing vertically downward and hits you it will initiation a sync kill; once hit it will then lift you up with its cannon and smash you down with its right arm(in its normal form). Enemies with a sync kill(Hydra, Fiend, Ascendant) do telegraph the ability(unless lag is present). I remember playing an Apex mission against Remnant with the glass jaw modifier(+1000% enemy melee damage) on firebase sandstorm while on silver difficulty. I was taking cover in the lower left room to avoid observer lasers, then I tried to exit the room through the backdoor only to have a Destroyer block the doorway entirely and immediately use its death field thus dropping me in a second. At the time I was playing a human Soldier with 750 health and about 380 shields, then the field brought that to zero. Its not a a sync kill because you can be revived or use medigel after the event has happened. Also they are survivable if you are tanky and have enough dr. That seems lackluster, in that case I agree with your point on the hydra. I wonder if the hydra's grab works the same way in singleplayer.

The Atlas had a sync kill. But the Hydra can't sync kill. Seriously these Outlaws suck...Dunno if any of them were part of Cerberus (must have been a few centuries too early for that). But still, what kind of a galaxy has giant mech bots that can't synch kill? Bet dem Outlaws are hanging out for a Factory recall.
And while we're talking Fiends...Serious question: Anyone know yet if they have a weak spot? Chocolate Bars? Foot rubs? Sniper in the face???

Client-sided movement or no sync kill.

Already mentioned but sync kills make enemies a threat. It forces you to pay attention to something else and think on the fly. As much as I hated praetorians, they made you *MOVE* away from where you are. Same for Banshees and Phantoms. They would close in on you quick and caused you to think on the fly.
Sync kills in Andromeda are fine imo, except for the teleporting Fiends. Those...need to stop. Fiends if they work correctly are fine imo, but I shouldn't be on the edge of my seat hoping he doesn't just blink in front of me. Fiends with that blinking sync kill cause me to ignore them and just run to the opposite side of the map so I don't have to deal with them for a little bit. If I'm soloing or the last one alive, I just give it a very wide berth and hope it doesn't BS-Blink its way to me.

I don't mind one shots and I don't mind enemies stomping out downed players, I just don't think both should happen in a single move when lag and bugs are a factor.
I also think self revives and the cobra rpg are cheesy and shouldn't exist.

No. Sync kills as a concept are fine. However, sync kills should require the boss to successfully land a melee attack on the player to prime the sync ability.
Or in the case of the Ascendant, there needs to be a cooldown on it's sync ability so it can't use it immediately after teleporting up to someone. Jesus fuck I hope whoever came up with that one steps on a landmine.

I have no problems with sync kills in general, but the specifics are ridiculous at times.
#1 range of sync kills: getting grabbed from over "half the map" = no fun
#2 "aoe" sync kills: Ridiculous. Syncs need be properly telegraphed and they should probably target a single player. I got grabbed by ascendant by just accidentally rounding a corner and strolling into ground zero.
#3 Feedback: a tell is needed, it's cheap to have them spawn right behind you and begin their grab, the close camera distance to the character doesn't help
