Firstly let me admit I am super non-1337 shooting things with the PS4 controller (I basically cant hit things). So the Vanguard was a godsend for me. But I do want want to level other kits.. and Ive seen all these Insurgents coming into our gold games even at low level, doing mostly fine. (Also Insurgent is my highest non-common at VIII.) So, went into a PUG at lvl 8, thinking this will be rough, and it was, but I stayed mostly alive by jumping from cover to cover popping shield boost (base). Invested more points in shield boost, and things became a lot more relaxed. Sooo..
@ lvl 13 now, with Bioelectric def + Shield boost maxed.. having no clue what to put points in next..
My initial 'plan' was this (but I fear its rather un-optimized):
I found a guy explaining the turret on YT, which I previously saw no value in, so might try maxing that next:
