@Bioware: Do we get a refund of all that we have lost due to your disconnects and crashes?

I'm hoping to run into a hacked lobby to recoup them.

It's a videogame, they don't owe you anything.

Rocket League froze on me 3 times in a row during ranked matches and I lost rank.

I'm annoyed, but I'm not begging for my rank back. I just uninstalled and reinstalled and it stopped crashing to the dashboard, so I continued playing.

Mass Effect 3 was no different either.

Erm...yes they do. The hell kind of warped logic have you applied to determine otherwise?

Other games having similar issues makes it ok?

So if you went out and bought dinner, then the waiter comes over and knocks your plate on the floor into a puddle by accident, you would be happy to just walk out, having paid for said food and just shrug and say 'oh well i guess they don't owe me anything'. 

And this, folks, is exactly the reason why you cannot buy anything in-game with actual money. The transaction you could ask for a refund or compensation for in case of shenanigans is cash -> Andromeda Points, which I haven't heard any reports of not working perfectly.

If the system craps out on you at any point past that, then tough, because technically "money" isn't involved anymore, so you don't have a right to anything (cue Willy Wonka gif). The proprietary currency is biower's (and more generally, EA's) way of covering their asses against consumer protection actions, among other things.

This is an extremely anti-consumer practice, but it's generally accepted by customers in this industry. As boogie pointed out, if other businesses started doing this, they'd be buried in lawsuits. Something to think about.

So you think that if you don't get what you payed for it's not a problem? That may be fine for you but that's not how the law works. If that were the case it would be legal to sell something to someone, destroy it and then expect them to attempt to buy the product again.

That resuraunt has a record of what your order was, they know exactly how much it cost you, and how long you had to wait for it before that bastard waiter ruined your dinner.

I doubt Bioware keeps metrics on disconnects, what equipment people were using when said disconnect happens, what consumables were used in the game before it disconnected, how long the match was running before the disconnect, etc. I could be wrong, but is doubt it.

There is also the question of how much that sniper rifle rail amp II that you lost is worth. How much more was it worth than a sniper rifle rail amp I that someone else lost. Would the team have even completed the match and earned credit? And how much is everyone's time worth? Some people's time is with more than others. Really, this just turns into a giant clusterfuck when you look at it.

BTW, I'm not saying we shouldn't be compensated (we should). I'm just saying that it's a bit more complicated than people make it out to be. If they give everyone a couple premium packs and some supply packs to make up for the issues, some people will be greatly overcompensated (horray for them!), but others will still be left wanting and still be upset.
