Shouldn't the question be? "Does anyone like Addison?" Nope, I don't I just work around her and ignore her. Speaking of most hated characters in a ME Game. I don't know why, and she only played a bit part, but the blonde security woman you meet just as you arrive on Noveria really ticked me off. It was a GREAT joy when I was able to off the pompous bitch, only saddened by how quickly she died and the fact I couldn't rub it in as she took her last breath. Yes, I think I might hate the blonde from Noveria as much as Addison. Like you, I was glad I could kill her but wish I'd had an option to say more to her. Honestly, she doesn't have to like that I'm a killer of [corrupt] cops. I'm a Spectre. I can do whatever I want. Hell, I can murder a planet and get away with it until someone does some serious investigation. (Saren)

I'm with OP she seems like a clutz and wont even get rid of spender even after admitting he causes a lot of problems for everyone he comes in to contact with.
Shes a bad manager at a fast food restaurant.

It doesn't help that her associated quest (ZK Trackers) was my most loathed quest in the game. My two least favorite characters turned up in that wild goose chase (Addison and Kennedy), and to top it all off, I couldn't even yell at them properly.
I wanted to let the kett overrun that stupid shuttle.

Spoilered for caution and ranting: You know what I resented the most? The implication that babies make Kennedy's selfishness ok, and Ryder should just be happy for the first human baby in Andromeda. No. That attitude can fuck right off, because finite resources and future planning ARE TOTALLY A THING. Children are not a blanket excuse for bad behavior, and that is probably one of my biggest pet peeves IRL.
If it meant getting Akksul to back off of Jaal's family, I would have fed every damn person in that quest chain to the Roekkar.

See, at least prior to ME3, Udina was a bitter hard ass who was ultimately just trying to make sure humanity wasn't getting shafted. You could hate him and his methods, but not what he was striving for. Addison is just irredeemable -- condescending, incompetent and crooked as all hell. Not to mention that nothing you ever do is good enough for her. "We need MORE Outposts, Pathfinder!" Lady, you've done nothing for fourteen months and you're riding my ass over pacing?

Exactly I'm like why the fuck am I congratulating the woman for spawning when there was a very clear reason why everyone else was not? Like that kind of selfishness was just completely beyond. And she had no real plan for survival anyway so all the she would've done is had a dead baby on her hands. What a fucking idiot.
lmao agreed.

If we are getting nostalgic over hated characters let's not forget about Jeong on Feros. I usually shot him even if I had the option to talk him down. Corporate douchebag allowing exogeni to use colonists as test subjects for the thorian.

Yeah, no, she's the worst.
I have major issues with Tann - cracking down on the free press, even in a crisis situation, is a hotbutton for me right now - but at least Tann has the excuse of being in a position he wasn't meant to be in. He was never meant to be the Director and is entirely out of his depth in the position, and despite that is well intentioned if horribly misguided.
Addison is in her intended job; she was meant to be the leader of colonial affairs. This is what she was hired on to do. And she is out and out incompetent.

Even worse, if you complete "Life on the Frontier" there's some strong evidence that Addison could even be corrupt. After that, I was shocked there was no option to bring it to Tann, Kesh, and Kandros and possibly have her imprisoned or exiled.

Hate is a word too strong to sum my feelings for Addison. At most, I can hate the Archon, and more for what he represent, than who he is. No, what Addison causes in me as a character is just plain spite and pity. As many others have already said with other metaphors, Addison is a sad incompetent cow. Which becomes a problem only when the affected person doesn’t want to acknowledge the fact and in her pigheaded arrogance demands to solve the problems of everyone, worsening the situation more and more. Personally, I find that most of what went wrong on the Nexus after its arrival in Andromeda, can be led back (even directly) to Addison incompetence. Spander (spandex?) is a real piece of work: he’s her subordinate, but hardly an evil genius (we find self-help manuals in his apartment on how to be more effective at oppressing coworkers, for Kalros’s sake!). I concede, he’s an opportunistic fool who managed to fuck things up the worst with the Krogan. But not happy with just that, Spander created a smuggling ring with the Exile and did everything in his power to make life more miserable on the Nexus before and after we arrive with the Hyperion. Now, let’s even concede Addison didn’t catch anything of the monumental clusterfuck that was the insurrection on the Nexus while it was in progress: never the less, not properly addressing the voices circulating after the fact about her direct subordinate involvement should be considered a major failing for the director of colonial affairs… Her work is literally for the people, by the people! It is her job description to care and manage human resources (literally!). And Addison did worse: not only she didn’t address the voices about Spander, she didn’t investigate them at all. I would have forgot the lack of proofs as motivation to keep Spander in its place, but she didn’t investigate them at all: it would have been enough to enter his apartment… And worse: not just happy with being an incompetent smuggler (seriously? You leave registrations which incriminates you together with illegal tech in your own very apartment with your fingerprints on?) Spander did his best for almost 2 years to make life more miserable for everyone on the station… (what can I say, the guy got greedy after seeing how blind his boss was, and I can even understand why). But again, Addison didn’t addressed at all Kesh reports about Spander’s conduct: in an emergency situation like the one of the Nexus, you can’t leave things like this simply go. In an emergency situation a Spander in the work must be dealt with immediately. And the excuse that she is ignoring Spander conduct because they are understaffed is bull, at least until we shows up with the Hyperion: at most, she had to oversee two colonization attempt on Eos, which both failed (quelle surprise, considering it was her job to do). Between the two, among other things, what she should have done is a complete inventory of Nexus resources to better prepare for the next try… which would have revealed Spander smuggling. But of course, she delegated. A lot. Or worse, she didn’t care. At all. In the meantime, Sloane did without resources what Addison couldn’t with all the Nexus backing her up: establishing a successful colony. So, using Addison as a standard, implies Sloane is overqualified for the position of director of colonial affairs. And when your better are people who put Kett heads on a spike, you can measure the width of your failing in light years. I would even prefer for Sloane to come back: she does less damage to the Nexus than Addison! And the cherries on top of an already overflowing list of missed achievements, are without a doubt the Three Sabers matter and the escapee scientist (forgot the name). As a director of colonial affair, as a person, you’re entitled to not trusting Alec’s kid with the Pathfinder job. To expect for he/she to fail. As a director of colonial affair, you’re entitled (and you should) to arm a blacks ops squad to do the work only a Pathfinder should do: if you don’t have/don’t trust the latter, it’s the right thing to do to try and establish the former… You just do NOT use Exile for that though, you hypocrite shit! Not the very people you helped banish! You don’t entrust the fate of a community to the people you just excluded from it! Addison should have gone to Kandros and asked for some troops among the Apex forces who were up for a more… long term assignment. NOT the Exiles: it’s basic logic. It’s common sense. You don’t have the right to cover this kind of shit up after it hits the fan and your black ops of Exiles goes rogue (again, quelle surprise). You don’t even have the right to ask for it, you sad cow. Regarding the escaped scientist with wishes of motherhood, imo, the fact she ignored proper protocol and channels and abandoned the Nexus is wrong, but hardly worthy of been judged in court: by the time we find her, we have a fertility planner gunning down colonists on Eos and 5 successful colonies already deployed. It is not a priority anymore, because there is place for her child too at that point… still, imo, it’s better to keep her on the Nexus, where people will give her the silent judgement treatment. What I really find appalling, it’s that Addison, in her role of director of colonial affair, failed to keep her friend on the Nexus to begin with. If, by her own very admission, her friend is one of the most brilliant mind on the Nexus, you put her on house arrest the moment you suspect she could flee, or to protect her from the Sloane gang. The Nexus can’t lose brilliant people, especially quad deep in problems as it was: Addison would have lost a friend maybe, but the director would have kept a scientist. In my book, it would have been a win. Tann isn’t even one tenth as aggravating as Addison is: he’s an opportunist and a politician, which helps you only until you keep producing remarking results. Which, considering the situation AI is on arrival is quite understandable and almost excusable, especially because you can strong arm him with logic and common sense to do the right thing in the end. And if you produce results, he backs you up, while doing his best to keep the AI more o less together (and for an accountant he’s doing an acceptable job, imo). Yes, he’s a racist and spiteful individual against the Krogan: he’s a Salarian though. We can’t really expect a non-biased opinion here. Until he stays out of my way and keep hearing out Kesh (the only sane person among them all), I can work with him. Addison though? I wouldn’t trust her with an ice cream.

I find Addison to be a little two faced and hypocritical for my liking, she complains that I can't be a Pathfinder until I find a path, but she's Director of colonial affairs with no colonies. So I guess we can't call her director if she's got nothing to direct. That logic works both ways. She tries to stop the Tempest from leaving via red tape (Thank you, Vetra!) When you get the first outpost on Eos, after being all hostile to you up to this point, she suddenly wants to be your friend? I don't think so. I've played that scene three times now, and I've never shaken her hand. I really dislike people like that. Also the fact that she turned a blind eye to Spender for so long, does not speak well of her.
