That's the question. My very public and personal opinion is that I don't do it, because I've sunk too many legit hours into this game to willingly risk a ban hammer. But I don't hold it against those who do in order to get back what they lost.
In a more perfect world, this would be justified, but let's face it, if bioware really gave a rat's ass about doing what was right, we wouldn't have all of these bugs. Another reason why I don't: A more than likely indiscriminate ban hammer.

I dont mind if people keep it to private lobbies with friends. If I was a leaderboard hunter I might mind also, but I really dont care about leaderboards personally.
I personally think that cheating on a game effectively cheats yourself ultimately. Cheaters will get everything they want and move on to another game because they are bored. Myself, when that item I want finally drops in a years time..that will be a truly rewarding moment.
Now simply getting back credits you lost due to disconnects etc..well nobody can really argue against that. Its a slippery slope though, before you know it you will be justifying another match to compensate you for disconnects you havent had yet, or because you think multiplayer is broken anyway, so screw bioware..

I wouldn't report it and I would stay in the match but leave after it finishes. Honestly though I'm tempted to hack the game myself because of how unbalanced the weapons are and how you have to reach character level X to max their skill points.  |

Cheating in a Coop-Game...yeah, sure, right. Do as you want, but don't expect me to go along with that shit.
If you don't like the game or find it unplayable in its current state...it's not like you miss out on anything important or lose your elo rating if you take it slow. Just play another game for a month or so and then come back to see if the devs have come up with a solution.

No, I do not find cheating legitimate because cheating only has two different meanings - infidelity within a marriage, or gaining an unfair advantage in an exam or professional contest. Therfore, I do not find cheating a legitimate way to deal with the dropped games.
However, if you're playing a video game, you can do absolutely anything at all and it's all fine and legitimate, no matter what you do. It's a game. Unless you harm someone.

I'll cheat, but not until after support for the game has ended and I'm looking for ways to find fun because of lack of new content, or to finally unlock stuff that I never managed to get after years of playing. That's exactly what I did in ME3.
Cheating after a week? Nah, not for me. The grind is just part of the multiplayer. Unlocking stuff super fast by cheating after a week would kill replay value so fast. I don't mind others who are cheating now, but only in private lobbies. It's really annoying to join hacked public lobbies.
As for cheating to get stuff you lost, not sure, I guess it makes sense. I don't really feel the problem since I've been lucky with not getting all that many disconnects/crashes. I'm still not sure if I'd start cheating already if I was crashing all time. I'd be more likely to get pissed off and go play something else instead.
