Cora was helping find the Asari Ark

Liam gave Nexus info to an Angara woman who got kidnapped. He was upset no one would let him do anything to help everyone lead better lives, and tried to take matters into his own hands

Jaal's family joined the Angara faction that hates humans and were trying to make it look like humans wanted to harm Angara, ruining ties with them

Drack needed to get back these stolen seeds to help Krogan children and that Spencer guy was part of the cause since he hated them thanks to the uprising

Vetra had to save her sister who was trying to help her

PeeBee's ex and her had a race for the "holy grail"

Is there anything in this game you haven't made a thread to complain about yet?

Liam is written by Lukas. I mean he wrote Minsc, Sera and Liam. Come back to me when you can understand what they are saying and follow their train of thought.

Link"Guess"ski, the only way you could've missed the plot and point of all of these missions is if you'd shut down, putting yourself on autopilot. The characters' reasons and the resulting stories were all very clear.

I only noticed it with Liam's quest. I missed the first mention of the Angara woman he wanted to rescue and didn't get why he asked the Prodomus colony to help along. I felt like they cut some stuff there that might explain things, but I might have missed it.

Actually Lukas is probably one of the best writers at Bioware and he has been there since Bioware was founded. Problem is that he writes very polarizing characters, and always has. Even Jolee Bindo from KotoR, which is absolutely one of the best Bioware characters ever written has very mixed reception from fans. Its his style, and it provokes people. Actually i think that is good, because it makes people feel strongly about the character, which is kind of the point. So kudos to Lukas!

Would add that he wrote Carver, Aveline, Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 plus several main quests in the Dragon Age, KotoR and the Mass Effect franchise. He is a talent i hope they never lose, and he is as much an Industry Icon as Chris Avellone.

Don't mind polarizing.  A babbling (elfy) idiot not making any sense and the only lesbian romance option to boot, I didn't find polarizing but insulting.  Times are "opportunistic" and inventing languages might seem cool to many but I don't like it.

What you were trying to do was secure your squad members loyalty.

Its a long standing tradition in Mass Effect video games dating back to Mass Effect 1. The implications of which are still felt today, with some players forever mourning Urdnot Wrex after they failed to secure his family armour and did not properly spec out charm or intimidate.

This later became more prominent in the series with arrival of Mass Effect two. Where squad members lives depended on your decisions and their loyalty and or who you banged.

Loyalty in Mass Effect two could even be lost depending on how you decided to resolve disputes between your various cabin members.

It was done away with in Mass Effect 3.

Coming to Andromeda we've seen the expansion of the loyalty system, where access to level 6 of a squad members skill trees are restricted, until a squad members loyalty has been gained. These loyalty missions are better described as loyalty quests because they involve embarking on a series of missions. They may even unlock other missions, which serve to deepen the relationship between crew members during the role playing adventure, though we can only speculate.

It sort of felt like it, but yeah I was expecting to see that famous scene play out by that point lol

I never have any trouble understanding Liam but then I realised he reminds me of Gavin Free a lot, so...
