So I did just do a Bronze match, made it through without a problem.

Working theory is that there aren't enough people playing gold, so I'm getting matched into PUGs where I have a poor connection. It tries to keep up but eventually fails.

And they really need to change the consumable formula. Boosters and consumables should be removed from your inventory only if you are awarded XP and credits. I want to be a good teammate and am willing to play with boosters, but I'm not going to keep pissing them away for no reward.

IDK what was it in your case. But in my case, lol-Origin tried to connect to servers in Virginia and California and they were busy, so it put me into a server in Ireland. I live on East Coast US, and playing at peak time Saturday night. Obviously, lol=Origin cannot handle the weekend numbers of people playing Andromeda. My ping to that server is about 140 msec, and to one in Virginia is about 8-9 msec. So, I was crashing every game after each failed heartbeat, something like 4 or 5 minutes. And obviously heartbeat just cannot get through fast enough at 140 msec ping. I then cleared Origin cache, tried again and it reloaded whatever it loads from the server and I played one game just fine. Second game was almost over, wave 7, actually was quite good, when lol-Origin decided I can go back to California and bumps me there. This results in instant ctd without any warning.

tldr, it is EA server problem most likely, too busy, too many people. Plus shitty netcode.
