What's the perfect melee shotgun?

I think the Scattershot is perfect for the Duelist because you can shoot in between every Charge and melee without ever even needing to reload, let alone run out of ammo. Plus it hits more like a 10 year old.

The Dhan has a nice crowd control effect. And it is light. It wont kill anything, but neither will any of the other shotguns.

The Talon at higher ranks.

Pistol melee mod is +33% melee damage at X as well?

Atm with the disciple, I could fire a shot, and melee instantly after the first swing, and no real time lost doing it. It's like free dps.
It's why I sorta care about the gun I give to duelist.

I really, really like the disciple X. Max damage mod and max melee damage mod.

disciple has too long a reaload animation, unless your playing soldier with faster reload speed in which case it reloads almost instantly so your just animation cancelling when you move...

I used the disciple on the vg (always test weapons in bronze matches as soon as I get them) whilst I could charge every 1.5 seconds I couldn't get the damn gun reloaded until the end of each wave or I died ......

The disciple is an excellent shotgun. 4 in a clip, but packs a good punch.

Having to reload at all, ever, is a waste of DPS on a class that never wants to stop charging and meleeing. As weak as the Scattershot might be compared to some other choices it's still supplemental damage in between every step of your normal gameplan that delays nothing you ever really want to do. It's perfect for adding that little bit of damage you need to make sure your next melee kills them. Shoot in between every charge, melee, lance, melee, charge, melee, etc. and it'll prove its worth.

Im spamming Falcon (IV) AOE even on my melee kits now, with light pistol as backup.
The Pirhana (II) didnt quit do it for me. Neither did Scattershot (X).
Unbeknownst to me, Hurricane (I) has apparently sneaked into my inventory, so Ill try that today!

Cool, thanks for the tip. But Talon is Rare, Disciple is Uncommon. I have Talon at I, Disciple is quite easy to get to X. Also, shotgun melee enhancement is I think a bigger bonus. At least, I have Shotgun Melee at X. But for later, if I get pistol melee and talon to X, I'll check them out.

Wasn´t there somebody on the board, testing the krogan shotgun, Ruzad or what was it, and found that it has an innate 5% melee damage bonus?

I´d recommend that.
