So far I've necountered two 'boss-fights' on Voeld with the similar design. The combat mechanics suggest removing their shield by shooting down the floating orb.
My question is - had anyone noticed the squad actually making any damage to it? Because in my case I had to make all the damage myself, even with the orb marked for direct attacks (squad icons were on it). They shoot, they move around, but it's like they never hit it. I've been using Jaal + Liam. Was it a bug? Is it part of the 'design'?
I hate boss-fights in general, and I found those ones annoying as hell. This orb seemed to be immune to my tech-damage (overload, incinerate), and they've provided the boss with the one-shot-kill-grab skill and waves of adds.
