5. Female Krogans - I have nothing against females... but when it comes to Krogan I wish they were all males. Not sure how lore works out, but I am so tired of political correctness in video game.... Maybe it has nothing to do with PC, but I would prefer more male Krogans none-the-less. Think about it from the lore perspective. If the Krogan were to fly to a new galaxy to settle, they would need both males and females. And with the fertility rates going up from the genetical procedures they got in cryo there's no need to keep females safe. Besides, unlike on Tuchanka they don't really need unfertile decoys in Andromeda. Kett target everyone, they don't care about Krogan fertility rates. So if a female krogan is still unfertile, she can do her own thing without it affecting the amount of krogan children. And what is a krogan's favourite hobby? That's right. Shooting stuff. So why wouldn't APEX use female krogan? There's your explanation. I wouldn't say this isn't from the PC culture at Bioware, but it makes sense. As for the pre-set backgrounds... I don't see the problem. Nobody's forcing you to read them, and some people (like me) enjoy those. They might be lacking, dumb or contradictory (Asari Adept), but IMHO they add something to the "characters". If you think those should be gone cuz you don't like them... I can say the same thing about the things you want to be added. I agree. Just because I am not content with certain things doesn`t mean other people are not satisfied or enjoying them. I am sure it goes for 99% other things we talk about here on the forum as well. |

Frankly I find it problematic that all the turians I've seen without their helmets in this game are the same shade of beige. In the original trilogy there were black turians, gray turians, greenish turians and off-white/silver turians. Pretending that no diversity exists among turians and beige-washing them all into the same color is quite simply erasure of centuries of rich turian history and cultural heritage.

I haven`t unlocked all the turians yet. If we are not able to change their skin color... it is indeed a shame. At least Turian Soldier has cool helmet on.  |

If they sold some character customizing options... it might have been hard for me to pass. I spent like $50 on ME3MP during my early MP playtime... not gonna make same mistake on MEAMP. lol |

The only really ugly ones are the 'female' engineer, male adept, female vanguard and male sentinel. The rest look amazing and I definitely like the look of the rest of them. Especially the female soldier! Real shame about not being able to toggle helmet on/off, choose different helmets and choose different faces, but what can you do, bioware sucks, they've always sucked, that's why all their games are trash.

All male turians are beige and all female turians are green. Also, only turians who are important to the plot have any clan markings. Enjoy this new canon. |

I know many people will say 'oh this game is fine as it is' but unlike ME3MP.. MEAMP has characters with exposed facial appearances. I really hoped character cards unlock more appearance options, but they really do not. I am just saying that if they are going to take helmet off many characters, they should try to give us more options for appearances. If not for andromeda, for future titles. If you want to customize your character's face, you can go play singleplayer. MEAMP has a fuckload of problems, but this ain't one of them. QFT |
