The... whatever they are called that created the Remnant = the Forerunners. Seeding planets. Creating life. Watching over the galaxy, until they disappeared ( defeated by whatever created the Kett, I want to assume)
The Remnant = the Forerunners machines like the Prometheans to guard and watch over their facilities.
Meridian = a Forge World.
The Kett = the Flood. Not quite as parasitic but they turn other people into more of them, which sounds like Flood.
Even the Remnant chest armour level 10 bares similarity to Master Chiefs armour in Halo 4 and 5.
Andromeda feels like Mass Effect in Halo's universe to me.

You honestly think Halo was the first Sci fi thing to feature forerunners,go and watch 2001 a space odyssey. Those types of ideas have been out for a long,long time. |

You know, they did bring in the lead writer from Halo to lead write this game. A decision I don't quite understand, but then again they also promoted Walters, so I guess BioWare didn't care about the writing in this game.

Well the lead writer for this game was Chris Schlerf, he wrote Halo 4.

I felt the same but more in design choices and aspects. A lot of Kett infrastructure and design resembles Covenant design (but they are both militaristic and religious societies).
And Remnant designs reminded me of forerunner.
The AI implant thing with SAM and Ryder also (sort of) resmebles Cortana and Chief, though if I had to be honest, Project Freelancer in Red Vs Blue is a better comparison.
It was copy/paste and no idea is truely unique anymore, so I didn't pay it any mind.
Didn't the game actually have a former Halo writer as the lead writer?

Saying the game feels like "Mass Effect in Halo's universe" is a bit of a stretch for me though.
This game is way more light hearted

Many things in this game felt Halo-like to me. I raised my boys on Halo and my 20 year old son commented that MEA seemed very inspired by it. I didn't realise one of the writers wrote for Halo 4....that could explain it.
