Same thing happened to me. I think it's just an oversight, but I was sad too. I loved that thing's banters with SAM.

It's a confirmed bug. But apparantly saving the AI and sending it to Aya gives some extre help on Meridian. That's the choice I made, but I didn't notice that help. Read it somewhere afterwards.

Meh, Evfra's a sourpuss anyway and I always find AI to be fascinating. Saving that crazy AI every time and giving it to SAM  Also, I did sympathize with it. It lashed out, and violently, but I can't say that I'd do any differently in its place. |

I strongly suspect that AI will form the basis for a future DLC perhaps in November (with the book Initiation) but it could easily be similar to the Raqni Queen decision and not play out till a future game.
That AI creeps me out, I quickly regretted keeping to stupid thing.
