I do like this game, but man, Bioware are making it so, so hard too! After the dead Cora fiasco, I now have some new fun: Disappearing planet viability!
Despite both Eos and Veold being at 100% yesterday, the game has decided that they are now 0%, despite virtually every quest being completed and being able to stand in the bloody outposts! Even better, some of the initial quests you get when you land have reappeared! As an additional side effect, I have also lost all progress in the SAM memory triggers, it is only registering as having got one. I also can not get some Nexus upgrades as they are dependant on planet viability.
I thought people were joking about technical issues, but this is starting to get ridiculous now. My worry is that something is clearly unstable / wrong here, and that I am one wrong click away from a complete junking of the playthrough. Also, for some reason the game was jerkier than normal (and not due to fraps).
I can forgive some of the issue like a few janky animations and the quick save (annoying but not game breaking), but this error can clearly be game breaking. I don't regret my purchase and I am having fun (as a fun / hr /cost analysis it comes out on top), but something clearly has gone wrong on the QA side for this to happen. The error to this basic building block (settlements) of the game should not be occurring (mind you neither should zombie Cora).
Do I risk playing further or wait for a patch (note it is bugged on my earliest manual save, I was on Havarl and didn't notice)? The thought of having to redo all of this is not a pleasant prospect.

I hear the bugs are pretty bad, but its luck based, I played on PS4 pro, and never encountered anythign gamebreaking, the worst ones were the one where Vetra froze to a single position when i was talking to her, a couple of scnes where my character dissapeared when conversing and some enemies floating in mid air.
They better fix most of these.

A quick look at the EA answers website shows that this is actually a common problem, with it seemingly happening at random. No word on a fix either..

I only had one bug in my pc play through. And that was due helmet type bug. Since there isn't a quick save feature I had conditioned myself to make two saves. The first is saved on new planets and areas and the second is saved every 20 mins or so. Yes I am that paranoid

Just to note some people have had it after Eos, some Veold, soma kadarra.. it really is random with no obvious avoidable trigger. Mine occurred on havarl, I think after the vault was done but I'm not sure.
I have no idea if it will glitch back; the quests have not actually reappeared in game so it's not like I can quickly redo them.

I ran into a handful of small bugs and glitches here and there during my playthrough, like being launched extremely high into the air after a collision bug with the Nomad, some quests markers not disappearing after completion (usually the "0/3" markers), some quests having blank text, glitching quests when doing them too early (like clearing the Eos Kett base before meeting the guy that talks about it), enemies endlessly spawning out of thin air, some characters that clipped through the walls during cutscenes or enemies attacking me while speaking to a NPC. So I took the habit of manually saving before starting a quest or finishing it. Also had that glitch yesterday after a reload, just so happened that I recorded it: Your bug is pretty terrible though Supposedly, you still should have access to your Chapter saves that the game automatically does, try reloading one of these, dont keep playing on a buggy save or you can be sure it'll break even more later. Or you could wait for Gibbed to be released (should happen soon apparently) and hope it can fix your save data.

They better fix most of these. Lucky, it appears to be random. The most common problem that I have is that my saves never load (rare crashes, one was in MP and the rest was in SP). I'm doing the Insanity trophy right now and as a result of that save issue, i've had to kill the Architect on Eos, twice as a result. That took forever

I basically have a separate save after every single enemy encounter.
And by now, I have well over a hundred saves.

And now your game has technical issues to prove otherwise.

I remember people having bugs where characters they hadn't met yet were being referenced on the tempest. For instance you leave Eos without completing it, the game thinks you had the two companions. The game things you will do things in the order they want you to, which is a bit sloppy. Maybe thats what happened to you? You completed a quest that 'should have' been done during Eos or something?
Just a shot in the dark.. but of course we shouldn't have to worry about things like that in a game like this.
In the trial the worst I had were two crashes during cutscenes.

I must be lucky as hell, I finished the game with no major bugs to speak of - in fact, it was probably one of the most bug-free launch day experiences I've had for a while. Only one I got that I can remember is when I talked to Harry and lost all input to the dialogue wheel, forcing me to alt tab out. And that was hardly game breaking.

I too have yet to experience any significant technical issues, but I know for a fact that they're incredibly widespread. One of my friends experienced this gem on her playthrough, and then it happened a second time after her game crashed, when she had to replay the section due to poor autosave locations.

Man, I have a 165 hrs in the game on PC and I've run into nothing like that. The weirdest shit I've seen was characters getting stuck mid-air while dropping into the map on Kadara, but that's nothing but a minor, minor annoyance to me. Otherwise it's run great.

PC. I've encountered three bugs. A squad member once clipped through the walls, a quest marker once remained even after I'd completed the quest, and ongoing issue of scanner refusing to work if you use the Origin overlay to browse the web, and that's it so far.
I did the Kett base on Eos before talking to the guy without issues, so I would hazard that that is a random, or 'luck based' bug.
As for saves, I use three save slots. One for every time I land on a planet, the next one before doing anything potentially dangerous or game-changing, and third as just a general save spam, which I do around every 10 minutes or so.

I like how my computer is basically a pretty toaster and the only issues I've had were fixed by a reload. It seems I've been rather lucky or maybe I have a high tolerance for buggy piles of shit cuz I used to Q&A for MMOs lol
