Used her almost all of the time on Insanity. I used her mainly to soak up damage, which she did pretty well.

Yeah have a Ryder build that scythes through the mooks on Hardcore, (EDIT: Insanity also) but don't want to try too hard in SP
Point is not to brag but provide context. If the player can potentially wreck, the squadmates can't be too powerful. She still "suppresses" by drawing fire, though I want to see enemies keep their heads down. Still, very disappointed she can't do damage for RP purposes. Drack can do something at least
Might even be a fun game to command squadmates

Because she sure as hell doesn't do damage. Hardcore The best way to get squaddies to do damage is via combo setup/detonation. Still not seeing damage? Use Cora for cryo ammo and Drack for Incendiary rounds and call it a day. |

Because she sure as hell doesn't do damage. Hardcore Yeah... if only you could give her a decent gun. I guess the Disruptor Ammo suggestion is ok, except that IIRC that is the last rank of her passive so requires her loyalty. So depending on how you go through the game it might take ages to get there. I haven't finished my first game yet (Insanity) and mostly squadmates are pretty mediocre at actually doing damage. |

Squadmates are generally kind of useless for damage in Andromeda. Your not able to control their powers and you can't give them better weapons. So the best thing they do is prime and offer some buffs here and there. The ammo skill upgrades are just the most consistent primers.

Because squaddies cant provide any damage go for ones that provide utility. Drack is the tank while Cora provides good squad bonuses. She can give 20% more shields to the entire squad, cryo ammo and her shield boost is an excellent ability. She basically backs up what she says that "her job is took Ryder alive". Finally i like her with cry ammo as it shuts down an enemy for a while. Works excellently against wraiths and adhi.
The only problem the above combination has they tend to get in the way of my shots but sadly no other companion provides me the utility i need and i refuse to use peebee as she wears no armor. Jaal on the other hand is supposed to be a sniper but has avenger strike and that combination still makes me go "what?".

Yes, speced Cora into Cryo and Melee knockback to see anything happen.
Vetra is unfortunately useless for a blitz playstyle. Though with Cora clearing the way, if Vetra stuns one last mook could be useful
Drack still does some damage on Insanity
Now to clarify, have no need for the squadmates on Insanity at all, especially as they mostly don't do anything. Took Liam and Jaal both without loyalty missions into a post endgame engagement, siccing them on a Hydra and blitzing all the mooks with Ryder. They did actually do respectable damage against the Hydra together
