So, my first kit to 20 was the salarian infiltrator with a lowly widow I. Started doing gold somewhat conservatively at around 15. Other than the widow taking half an hour to reload it was fine. Cloak as escape and damage buff and stickies for those times when you are bum rushed by a pair of berserkers and a hound pack. It worked fine despite the crummy weapon.
Second kit was asari duelist using an equalizer. She is the girl with all the gifts. Very lag resillient, zipping all over the map, refreshing shields at leisure and invulnerability frames. Started doing gold at 10 and and had very good extraction rate with her. 10/10 would bang again.
Now, third kit was the turian soldier. With an OP vanquisher no less! And the experience was quite frustrating tbh. Sure thing, when I got myself positioned in a good sniping range the turbo charged vanq does a TON of damage, but as soon as I start getting under pressure (and this will happen, in particular if you are playing with multiple inflitrators/stealth grid kits) I felt really helpless. Staying in cover gets you killed, and running gets you killed for sure. Again started gold at 10, but extraction rates was lower, I could not really clutch waves like I did with the asari and despite the OP weapon I often found myself doing less that spectacularly in the games.
So, any build/loadout help to make the TSol more durable (on gold that is)?

Im trying to play mine with a raptor x. When i dont crash or lag or disco, he seems fine so far. The weapon suits him IMO.

bsn.boards.net/thread/6591/guide-turian-soldier-sniper-insaneit's definitely not a tanky-tanky kit. it's more like above average survivability and insane solo dps. dont expect to be able to solo with it - if you're surrounded and have no way out you're pretty much screwed. imo the perfect pug kit because youre able to rely on dps and survive on your own provided that there are at least one teammmate that can periodically take aggro off you - teamwork, while needed, is only needed in minimal amounts to aid your "soloing" fortify is pretty much built around less mobility, therefore you spec into more defense (rank 6a), and you also take passives for damage resistance while in cover in whatever that other tree is called. even with 345 damage resist you won't be able to tank that much, but this is about as effective as this kit gets. then just stay as much as you can in cover + immobile as much as you can to boost the 25 dmg resist passive and blast everything also make sure to host so you can actually land headshots. you wouldnt want to miss on those weakpoint bonuses passives. that's only on paper though, because you'll never be able to host unless you wait 2 hours for your lobby to get filled. good luck.

At first I used 6 6 1 6 6 build (1 point in grenade),but felt that I am tanky more than enough and need something to help me clearing those situations, where enemies are clustered together or to weaken little bit hardened targets,so I took points from Fortification and invested in frags. So,my build is now 3 6 5 6 6 (3 fort and 5 grenades). I am using Revenant or Thokin.

Carry a snipe and a bullet hose.
Skip grenades, take each and every damage boost you can get, and the Fortify standing DR evo (6A i think)
After that the name of the game is PRIORITIZATION. Pick your targets, and that doesn't mean VIPS or little guys, it means check the loadout of the other guys in your group and then take the targets of opportunity within the outside of those character's respective ranges.
Your job is aggregate all the damages, to be behind the other guy/gal and shooting the enemy he/she can't see or is having trouble dealing with, which is why you take a precision weapon and and spam/CC weapon.
Turian is team peeps, play like it.

How about....NOT USING THE SNIPER ON THE TURIAN SOLDIER IF YOU AREN'T GOOD WITH A SNIPER?! If you can't get shots in without having to sit in one spot, you need to put the sniper down. Sorry, not sorry.
