So... I have crashed dozens of times. But not once have I gotten a popup about sending a crash report - usually, because of privacy issues - I have to approve such things. So... how do bugs get fixed in this game?
Do I need to be submitting bug reports? If so, where and what useful information could I possibly put into a bug report about these crashes? I guess we have a bug report thread here, but I don't know how that is going to help anyone isolate causes of crashes.
Anyways... crashing happens so often that it seems like getting the necessary information to fix them should be straightforward... but... no crash reports... so I do not know how this can possibly work...

If you're playing on PC you can type "event" in Windows Search to find the eventviewer program. That may or may not give you more info on crashes.

because it might be an interactive problem between things on his pc that's causing it and be a problem nobody else has treoir razer products are known to cause issues but I don't know if there are any fixes as I don't have any, NVidia gfx drivers are known to cause issues but again I dont have an NVidia card so not sure what if any fix is available for them, amd cards require updating to the 17.2.1 crimson package with relive (even if you dont use it) Logitech gaming device software needs to be updated to the 8.91.48 version, corsair link needs to be at 4.6.086 and corsair utility program needs to be at version 1.16.42, (as prior versions cause a problem that's crashes the game) amd raptor program I also uninstalled at this point because it doesn't do anything any more since they stopped updating it / its possible that the default colours on each char causes issues, not entirely certain on this one but after I updated all my software products that run from pc start I still had a ctd every few games until I had changed all the bronze characters from default colours to something else and since then I have had 2 in a week and both times it was a game in progress that was a really bad lagfest game. as you might imagine I had a lot of game crashes in the first week of mea going live, but a little self help seems to have eased things off a great deal oh I also go to the prestige screen every time I open boxes and click every card in the collections sub section that has an info icon on it any or all of those things together might be the reason why the CTD problem has gone away, hopefully you will find a way round the problem as well

Timing on my crashes suggests a bug in the nVidia drivers, but I cannot roll back to the previous version because that version is corrupt when I download and run it (and I have downloaded it on several computers to try to see if I could get a different cached copy - but they had exactly the same corrupted version). I am a bit dubious about the idea of the mouse causing problems, though I suppose anything is possible. Still, my frustration is that they are not giving me any opportunity to contribute to the problem solving by collecting stack traces or whatever other detail they use for debugging from the crashes. That worries me, it suggests maybe the important parts were all outsourced or written by people who have long since departed and that they do not have the talent in house to solve these kinds of problems. Or, it suggests that they are so overwhelmed with problems that they do not feel it is worth their time to collect any detailed information about them. Or... something. Anyways, I am worried and frustrated.

Did you mean your search for event found nothing useful or your look at the logs did not found anything useful? The evenviewer is usually abbreviated "eventvwr.exe" - you should try that ínstead.

If you are suspecting your Nvidia driver ( I had problems with crashes BEFORE andromeda, so I rolled back to an older driver ), I recommend using "DDU". It deactivates Windows Auto Driver update for Nvidia cards, if you do it right. This should allow you to get an older driver for your GPU manually. Good luck.

And I have lost my local copy of that version. This is incredibly frustrating - and not only because this afternoon, of five multplayer games, three of them crashed. But, also, because there seems to be no way of reporting this issue.

No errors submitted means that everything works well from developers perspective That is exactly what it is and is an exact copy of what happened with these silent crashes in DAIMP. Nobody has any clear clue about it but it is highly suspected that these things are server related and shuts down the game by taking control of the user action, exactly like as if you pressed Alt-F4. Actually, it is a security breach, but it seems that Microsoft is aware and is permitting these things as long as they don't go outside of their app and interfere with other apps or services. Alas, there is no trace whatsoever, very stealthy, well played EA/BW.

Why are you not using the NVidia Archive to simply download older drivers? Or are you telling me, all the drivers from their download page don´t work for you? Check their archive here: www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-usAllows you to find any and every revision your heart would yearn for. Back to 2016!

And I have lost my local copy of that version. This is incredibly frustrating - and not only because this afternoon, of five multplayer games, three of them crashed. But, also, because there seems to be no way of reporting this issue. Try looking in one of these locations for a copy of your [installer] driver: C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Installer2 C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA\Updatus\DownloadManager C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NetService C:\Users\ \Documents\nvidia\DownloadManager C:\Users\All Users\NVIDIA\Updatus\DownloadManager You could also run this to find it: portableapps.com/apps/utilities/windirstat_portableI know where it is. But the installed driver crashes. And I damaged the instance I want to roll back to, while fumbling with that corrupted driver, before I realized that I would not have needed it. Nevertheless, I went through and checked all of those locations, just in case. (The first is where the previous driver and the current driver were unpacked to. The second looks like a non-versioned copy, so would be the currently installed version. I do not use the download manager, so those locations are empty or missing.)

The drivers from their page are certified to work - so unless you have a very weird system setup with hamsters inside, they SHOULD work. Have you tried an even older driver / other drivers from their page to see, if it is just a fluke with one of them? If every download is corrupt / installer does not work, I´d rather suspect the problem is with your machine. I have personally installed dozens of drivers from that page in trying to get a fix on my crash and they all worked for me ( at least installer wise )

I have personally installed dozens of drivers from that page in trying to get a fix on my crash and they all worked for me ( at least installer wise ) I am sure the drivers they posted work. I used that version, and it worked fine. But I am also sure that what I am downloading now is not what was there before - it cannot be unpacked. When I try running the installer, I get this error popup: And, I have downloaded this driver on several machines - I get the same broken archive each time. So I have little reason to suspect my machine. And, I have tried unpacking the archive with 7zip - that works ok on other versions, but not on this version. I have tried an older version - it unpacked and installed fine (but still crashed multiplayer - possibly because it was older than the MEA release). Anyways, please do not pull the "well I have not had your problem so your problem must not be a real one" thing. That's just foolish overgeneralization.

First step of suppport is to do the same things the customer did over, even if he already told them plenty of times that he did exactly that. I am not trying to frustrate you. The information that you did try on several machines is also new to me. I am now downloading 378.78 for GTX 970 on Windows 10 / 64 bit archive and will try to run that archive. Here´s the result ( image function broken, for some reason ): imagebucket.net/myv88dwge8ci/nivida_ok_2.pngimagebucket.net/gl5hyygh1izh/nvidia_unzipping.jpgSo, I don´t know what to tell you - you´re either cursed, or there is one common factor. Are you trying the download behind the same network device? Do you have internet problems? Maybe there is a provider proxy which is delviering broken data to you? You could try downloading at a friends place and taking it to you via an USB stick. Other than that, i don´t know what to tell you.

you guys could be real nice and upload the unzipped files for him to just downaload nad install then its a good chance its something on his end preventing him unzipping the file, but other than a network virus linked to 7zip I cant think what it would be to cause the problem on several machines /

you guys could be real nice and upload the unzipped files for him to just downaload nad install then Funfact: I'd have offered something like this if uploading 1225 files/~1GB wouldn't be a bit of a problem for me. Could do it over the weekend if that would be soon enough and if someone tells me where to upload such an amount of data for free.

Actually... I have this old Virtual host of me... Edit: There you go: www.wraith-node.de/nvidia37878/Nvidia 37878 64 bit for windows 10 - 900 Familiy series driver. I am pretty sure, the only important distinction is the 64 bit - as with the unfiied driver structure, the driver should be good for all Windows Systems and Card families. I´ll keep the data up for a day or two. Hope it helps.

The link you provided points to a 387 MB sized file. I have no clue, where you did the gigabyte file from? The entire size of the unzipped driver is about a gigabyte. This is the link I have from the Agree and Download from the US page of Nvidia: us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/378.78/378.78-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql.exeDid you look at another driver for a specialized system? Like a CAD Driver or something? I´m so confused right now.
