So considering all the other snipers...why is the Black Widow in the game?

Armor piercing doesn't work on vanquisher and I'm not convinced BW does less damage despite what the numbers say. Been meaning to test this. Vanquisher is at 10 and BW i at 2 and the damage is pretty close numbers wise. BW leveled up will surpass it... I ran the black widow once and I thought the bullets were packing more of a punch but until tested fully I'm not sure

I'm about 50% expecting tomorrow's announcement to be:

- Vanquisher sniper rifle: damage INCREASED by 33%
- Black Widow: damage decreased by 5%

That'd be the old biower I know.

I only have my BW at I so hard to say. My Valiant X does noticeably less damage than either, however you could argue that the improved reload speed and ROF compensate for that. I still think it needs slightly more damage.

Add to that 50% or so faster rof too.

I think they should have taken the damage numbers from SP Black Widow which does 900 damage at rank 5, and the vanquisher does about 500 at r5. Instead of basically reverse it in MP.

So the choices are between more alpha or more DPS, then?

Nah, thats only because you haven't unlocked it yet.

I've done some crazy piece shots with the Black Widow and Reciever though. Quite fun.

But yeah, would like the vanquisher's head shot multiplayer to be lowered a bit, it's pretty silly.

Lol Vanquisher 1 beats Widow X by a HUGE margin lots of DPS one clip of a Vanquisher 1 can kill 2 to 3 mooks on gold tell that to MR Widow 1 by the time you done reloading the Vanquisher in the right hands has killed 4 or even more mooks. I remember back in ME3 mp that 2 infiltrators who are good one uses a single shot sniper the other say BW and both would end up with similar DPS.
Solution give single shot snipers a fast reload aka reload cancel as it was in ME3 mp. To compete with these type of sniper rifles.

You don't have to be an infiltrator to really shine with this weapon...
