Yo,
I was mostly playing SP and since a few days, I paid some more attention to MP.
Things were going well but since the other day I've had a lot of crashes. That coincides with me going from Bronze to Silver so I wonder if that's got something to do with it (i.e. more enemies on the map). Had no crashes on Bronze.
SP hasn't crashed once for me so far. I don't have the fastest rig on the Citadel but it's been handling quite well other tasking games that came out recently and SP of ME:A.
Any solutions on how you've dealt from it? Bump the graphics down? :gentleman:
Haven't been tracking system consumption so I am not sure if it's connected to some sort of leak (probably).

Pray to whatever god you believe in that the Thursday update fixes it. Don't join in progress missions. I will join and leave unless it's wave 6 or 7. Play with friends/a good host.

On PS4pro. Unknown crash during MP (game shuts down) - 1 in 10 games Host disconnect - 1 in every 7 to 8 games. Massive lag (You need to dash three times to make it work once) - 1 in every 6 to 7 games.
Just approximation.
I don`t think difficulty had any difference with my experience, but if you are playing on PC some comps might get affected by more and bigger enemies spawning.

A lot of the crashes are just seemingly random, however, I have found that if I leave Origin or the game running overnight it will almost guarantee a crash on the first game. This makes me believe there's some kind of memory leak or desync with Origin. I always restart Origin before beginning a play session now and have had considerably better luck.

I need to summon the Spaghetti monster on Thursday so that he touches the game with his noodley appendage, apparently...
Crashes on PS4Pro are completely unacceptable in my opinion! :gentleman:
I think Origin is indeed part of the problem - the game will continue to crash if I don't restart it - restarting Origin does help indeed. Ugh, that malware...

I have to admit, I am surprised, but I haven't crashed a single time so far. Crashed all the time on DAIMP, but the worst I am getting here is the occasional getting stuck out of map geometry bugs.
Well, I also haven't got a single negative trait on my 4 strike teams and every single public gold game I played so far reached extraction, so I think I screwed up by buying this game instead of playing the lottery.

I've only had 4 crashes in the 125 hours I've played and 3 of them were in the 71 hours I put into single player. Can't even tell the cause of the ctd's as there is no error msg and nothing in the event viewer. I'm running both the game and origin as an admin, though not sure if that makes a difference.

From Asian locations, (Shanghai and Taipei), both using a VPN to a proxy server in the U.S. and not using the VPN etc all, the freezes leading to disconnects are about 100%. Obviously making MP unviable.
In the U.S., on the same rig, using WiFi, freeze rate/disconnect rate less that 1 in 10. When playing with friends with the host having uber-internet and rig, rate approaches zero.
Even SP is peripherally affected; Drack's APEX mission was unassignable to a strike team leading to a lost connection 100% of the time, either while attempting to assign in SP, attempting to assign via the strike team sub menu in MP.
The weird thing is that the pre-release trial, and the very first day 1 release, playing MP from China and Japan via a VPN to S. Korea worked mostly fine. Laggy, but at least you could complete a match.
It is definitely worse in this respect than either ME3MP or DAIMP.
And at this point I'm not confidant there's a patch that can fix it.
I hope there is though.

I have disabled the Origin overlay and didn't experience any crashing since. I haven't got any overlay active besides it, no fraps, geforce experience, etc. Dunno if I'm just lucky or that this actually made the difference.
I do get the 'connection to servers lost' while on the Strike Team screen, and I do experience odd bugs and sometimes lag with some hosts.
Using a Geforce 1080 with all the latest drivers, Windows 10, 16GB Ram, virtual memory set to 'let Windows manage' blah blah.

It depends. Crashes have been infrequent, only 2 or 3 times where it actually crashed the game back to the xbox home screen. Disconnects are far more frequent. They have actually been pretty rare when I play with friends, and much more common when I play with pugs. And if I get disconnected 2x in a row just doing stuff in the mp screen before even getting to matchmaking I just quit the game. Something like that has happened 3 or 4 times.
The game does seem more likely to lag on waves 5 or 6 too when you have a ton of enemies and several big ones. I've had several sessions lately where the games are fine for the first few waves and waves 5 on get super laggy. And it's like that game after game.

For me, it crashes to desktop 100% of the time when entering multiplayer; usually before it's even done loading, otherwise within ~1 minute.

FYI: Check your My Documents > Mass Effect: Andromeda > Temp and you should have crash dump files in there, even for the error-less CTD's.

It crashes for me in almost any off host game. Even my buddy who lives 30 miles away, has the same isp with over 300mb connection, gets this result. But when I host almost nobody crashes. 2 instances in 2 weeks. But it's laggy as hell for my American friends. Much and much laggier than ME3.

There are some files there, but no, nothing for silent crashes I have had last and this week. My last dmp file is of 3/23. I've crashed silently about 20+ times since then. In either case, as my feedback is on, this should all be uploaded automatically. Also, no idea how to look at what is in there.

You can download a program called BlueScreenViewer and load your dump files into that, I think. Otherwise, I use Visual Studio. I just keep getting the same 0xC0000005 exception code with every crash. And it's now consistent. So, back to single-player.

It is server side most likely. Same code came with the well known retaliation glitch in ME3 that is known to be cause by some server errors related to challenge points and other types of synchronization. It is typically a permission denied / access violation probably due to some invalid request. BlueScreenViewer refuses to open these dmp files. And I don't have VisualStudio Edit: I was able to open it with WinDBG that is a part of SDK. No need to install the whole SDK, just this part. Then, go to File-Open Crash dump. The contents is actually locked or so it seems. It says "This dump file has an exception of interest stored in it. The stored exception information can be accessed via .ecxr." Same error: Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available) ntdll!NtWaitForSingleObject+0x14: 00007ffd`e3cc6154 c3 The code is from Frostbite, maybe some processor fault. In either case, I'm not getting anything DUMP'ed there since March 23rd despite having numerous shutdowns. And even those which are there were not actually BSODs, they were same silent shutdowns.

Hm, that's unusual; all of my crashes are getting dump files (in the Andromeda file). No BSOD's or any of the sort, just a quick and quiet crash to desktop. Regardless, I think we're undoubtedly looking at a server side error. Especially seeing as you're telling me this one was also in DAI and ME3 (played these on console myself). It's unfortunate to see these carried over... But, here's to Thursday providing some relief via the patch.

Tonight, I had a bronze apex mission which would not accept my strike teams. So I tried it in multiplayer.
I succeeded on my fifth attempt. Before that I had three crashes and one network disconnect.
My tips would be: make sure your fans are on high, and try to upgrade you graphics drivers.

For me, it seems to crash on the second game every time. I come home from work, turn on my PC, have supper, play one match. Partway through the second one I get a CTD. Restart MEA and I'm generally good to go for the evening. It's weirdly reliable. I make a point of not equipping any consumables on the second match, because I know I'm not getting any credits out of it anyways.
