I think the Avenger Strike (of Angara Avenger) takes too long to activate, by the time it does the stabbing, the victim could be pushed away / dropped from the height, or simply fly away (like Observer).
Why it can't be as swift as Charge of Vanguard?
Anyone feels the same?

Why it can't be as swift as Charge of Vanguard? Anyone feels the same? Don't want to be rude or condescending as I'm a solid player but not amazing by any means but L2P. That's the most OP character in the game and one of the most OP abilities. It's easy mode carrying and easy mode soloing against outlaw and remnant at least. Makes KETT easy until round 6 at least as well. I've had the charge miss at times as things move but other times it locks the enemy into place...

It's a fairly strong power.
Yes sometimes the fact it misses is obnoxious.
The power does need at least one downside.
Leave the cast time alone.

Avenger strike is a clear example of how badly balance the game currently is.It's supposed to be like Shadow Strike was on ME3, but on ME:A it takes only around 25% of a red bar's health.Sad but true

You can do it while jumping, while mantling, while falling while getting up, while throwing a grenade, over cover, under cover, against an enemy you don't have LOS on but can only see their lifebar, and directly through badly made geometry and thus through walls and ceilings. It also scales off two sets of bonuses.
It is hands down the best damage ability in the game, period, end of discussion.

Anyone feels the same? i don't seem t o have that problem because as soon as you activate the avenger strike the target freezes in place and i can easily stab them. it also makes for some hilarious moment when you avenger strike a mook whil he's in mid-air and drops like s sac of potatoes

My favorite character so far, with Duelist in second. Don't have any of those issues with the Avenger. Yeah, it doesn't one hit kill the big baddies, but stun them with it, stick a sticky or two, blast with your gun, melee. That will usually do it.

A power being strong is no excuse for it to also be broken and inconsistent. That said, I agree with you OP that when it's used, it should hit the target unless the target has already been killed by someone else during the 10 minute animation in which case it's just too bad.

Throw a pistol melee optimizer on there and it'll do enough damage to where most enemies, if they aren't killed from AS alone, only need one more melee strike to kill.

Good to know, thanks for the advise, I will respec the powers for a melee build and see how it works, I was very disapointed with this power as my main character on ME3 was the Shadow and shadow strike was awesome and powerful as hell

Yo know it says its a melee attack? If any power says this, it means ANY melee bonus will affect it. Just like in ME3. Although we're still figuring out which bonusses are additive or multiplicative, you should always max out melee bonus for such characters.
