People solo Gold now with shit weapons in less than 30 minutes. It took a lot longer to solo ME3MP and thoses solos took like an hour.

Of course it's not just luck, it requires skill and knowledge of the enemies and the game. But the main reason you will fail solos in this game is because of a bad objective and something that you can't control. |

It is easier to do gold solo in MEA as infiltrator since tactical cloak/Stealth grid are so much better at removing aggros comparing to ME3.
The only real hard part is the 3-site upload objective.

Tried Silver. Got to Wave 6...Uploads. FAIL
Tried it again, this time Kett, as Infiltrator...Wave 6 Devices. Those Wraith bone-dog things were able to run me down from other end of map, then head-butt charge me off the device once I broke cloak. Over and over and over again. FAIL
I have not even tried Gold yet...but I will...eventually.

Knowledge and good objectives. Weapons and good characters are the thing that make it easier and faster to complete. I've got to six and had an upload and said fuck it, used the AA because I think most could do a solo with tactical cloak or stealth.

I feel as if more people have done it this time around then did it in the first few weeks of ME3 MP, but I'm not going to go on a deep dive into ancient BSN to try to figure out if that's really true or just my impression. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not getting uploads isn't the only requirement, but it is basically the most important. Everything else is mostly just patience. Pretty sure the triple "T" did one already. had to be the first person to do the turian soldier. Nothing else matters |

I mean you of all people understand that luck determines if the game crashes or not. Sorry, low blow but no amount of skill will offset the RNG of unlocking the best weapons and classes first (only lots of money and/or no other obligations will give you enough time to negate the RNG). You simply cannot skill your way to a win on an upload objective unless you cheese it somehow. Obviously you need skill to kite and take enemies out quickly but at this point in the game luck matters quite a bit. This is not something that should cheapen the efforts of those that have soloed Gold, it just acknowledges that the current balance is rather bad so the best options are few and far between. |
