Meet ELEX, Is This What ME:A Exploration Will be Like?

ELEX is set in a post-apocalyptic world where a meteor wiped out a huge portion of the population. However, the meteor also brought along a strange substance, Elex. This acts as a huge energy source that is used to power machinery, buildings, weapons and even the people themselves. Elex has a strange effect on people, giving them magical powers while also stripping them of all emotions. It can even have mutative effects, changing both people and animals into horrible monsters.

Below is a link to a 17 min actual game footage.  The protag kills animals with a sword, shoots an energy rifle, explores and uses a jet pack (is this the "in" thing now?).  

Are we looking at ME:A elements and possible mechanics here?  The protag explores a vast area. Did you  see anything that is exciting ? Will Ryder's mission squad characters also use jet packs? Suppose Ryder has and the other two don't.  Crossing a gorge or jet packing up an escarpment is going to be interesting for the other two.  This is where Bio, I think, is much better at it... the banter to break the silence.

Anyway, you can have a go at it. I'd like to read any speculative comments about what ME:A should do and what to avoid.
