It doesn't just reach into the room and sync kill you anyway? I wasn't getting super close but there were four of us in the room with the ammo box on the ice map. Locked that fiend right down. Once it came in I put another one midway through the room and until it went down he wasn't doing much....just sitting there with us in the room......then two of us almost got sync killed when it went away... (the blind jump dodging began as we tucked tails and ran).

It doesn't just reach into the room and sync kill you anyway? I wasn't getting super close but there were four of us in the room with the ammo box on the ice map. Locked that fiend right down. Once it came in I put another one midway through the room and until it went down he wasn't doing much....just sitting there with us in the room......then two of us almost got sync killed when it went away... (the blind jump dodging began as we tucked tails and ran). Well then there's a workaround for the 15m Fiend sync kill radius until patch, I guess. Thanks for the information.

If Bioware wants to keep Fiend sync kill as is, fine: just make their presence as auditory as banshees were.
When I turn around and see a 9 ton mutant frog suddenly on top of me without the slightest audio cue that it was approaching... You're doing it wrong Bioware!

to be fair its the way he teleports around the map that's the biggest issue, he needs a bell or something so everyone knows where he is, and get rid of his spitting as well, its bad enough he shoulder charges and leaves you with a sliver of health he doesn't need a ranged attack that does the same thing.
btw I got super lucky last night on my senti, put up barricade in the door and both ascendant and the fiend stood behind it, dropped the orb popped an rpg and 20 kills later finished the objective without too much hasstle:)
actually the biggest problem ive found with barricade is my own team standing in the way so I cant use it, it needs fixing so it can pop up regardless

On reddit they seem to say the fiend crushes right through a barricade....maybe out in the open that happens....but we purposefully tested and observed it getting bottlenecked.... maybe it had teammates in its way? Maybe the shock on the barrier stops the teleporting? I don't know...but we certainly disposed of a few of them pretty easily......

And I specced barricade to 21 before anything else....then health so I can play on higher levels, now finishing weapon damage then on to energy drain (1pt in throw)
The revenant X with barrel X is actually pretty solid in this build....thokin is good but runs out of ammo and you have to reload too fast...

Put a bell on the kitty, put an end to the sneaking up on you. And I honestly haven't seen a fiend do a direct damage moves besides sync because I am either turning and GTFOing or being eaten by said kitty. Good to know, I guess.

It's a pretty handy ability, moreso than I thought it would be. Makes doing devices easy....drop a stun barrier and sit behind it and do device. I sit in hacks in otherwise bad positions and just grind it out, blind firing over cover... I played a silver vs kett as I was first leveling it up and all the enemies spawned in a hack. My teammates correctly abandoned the hack to draw the enemies away....I just rocketed the ascendant and dropped a barrier and did 80% of it on my own in a crazy war zone with 8 things shooting at me as they circled and came back.... Definitely an underrated character...
