For me, the scene is one of those Great Mass Effect Moments that still stands the test of time. The first time was certainly a wow! thing, no doubt. But no matter how many times I've replayed it since, it still hits those marks. It's just perfectly orchestrated; the direction, Sovereign's voice and dialogue, the music, the revelations and how helpless they make you feel. F***ing nailed it. When the music hits as Sovereign starts to speak, I involuntarily clinched my anal sphincter and said, "Shit... I'm in over my head. We're not beating the Reapers if this just one of many..." |

That's one of the most stand out moments of the whole trilogy. Goosebumps every time  I agree. From the main story perspective, this moment (along with Virmire survivor decision) make ME1 the best of the Trilogy. The problem is, this scene resulted in a perception of the Reapers from us (the players) that they are unbeatable. Which meant that unless the story was well thoughtout in ME2/ME3, we would be in for a let-down. Which is what happened with the Crucible and the Star Child. |

That first meeting with him on Virmire is one of my favorite moments in gaming. I look forward to it with every play through. And it STILL gives me chills, especially when he says "You exist because we allow it. And you will end because we demand it." SO cool! And that voice is just super badass.
And I always have Garrus with me, I love his "I don't think this is a VI..."
