Would make sense... if there even as a MEA2 and it's set a few years down to road, then there should be lots of children, actually.

The only reference to children being part of the whole expedition that I've found was on the Asari ark, there was a school and Cora was worried if the children had managed to be evacuated before the Kett arrived. Other than that, I think they should be present somewhere in the crowd, as random NPCs, not necessarily to interact with them (actually: definitely not to interact with them, thank you star brat) but just... it would make more sense to take the whole families together to Andromeda I think? I know they're going to start reproduction and all, but some kids would seem natural to be taken from the Milky Way. Although maybe they're all still in cryo before everyone is safe? And certainly they should be shown on Aya, unless when the Angara win the right to live there it's only on their own, without the whole families. I don't know, with all the Angaran family talk it's a little strange to have null. And again, it doesn't mean I'd like them to have some bigger role, just to be visible for a better immersion.

If they continue with the same characters, they kinda have to include kids in the next game. Either that or pull some shenanigans. Especially considering Gil's arc.

I think there were some pretty strong hints we will see some in the next game. A couple pieces of side content hinted at it for sure.
One very minor one was on EOS when the one guy asks you if they should teach Milky Way History or not in the school he is planning. I could totally see a school building on EOS in a sequel when you visit.

Eh I don't really care. Beyond a bit of realism they won't add anything.

ME3 was supposed to have children on the Citadel but considering its context it was all to be as emotionally manipulative as the boy in the intro. Only inserting kids into the story as soon as it becomes a "doomsday" concept it just reeks of "look at all the Pathos".
So, knowing Andromeda 2 probably will not be as dire, I'd say go for it. They hint at children in this game both for Turians and Krogan in a way that made me feel like we should see them in the next game.

I don't see why not. This is about recolonization so having children is definitely a part of that.

Should, but not in major roles. Like that daycare you go through on the asari ark.
