Have to do an obligatory rant thread like all the other people, ignoring the fact that this is a fan forum. Tho it's not really a rant lol. Roughly the timetable of things getting fucked up: - MEA announced
- ME3 ending flashback
- Getting angry at EA cuz it's EA
- Casey Hudson leaves
- Game delayed
- DAI Hinterlands flashback
- No savegame import
- Lead designer/artthingy forgothisname leaves
- Manveer Heir hurr durr
- "Ugly" females [*Manveer Heir hurr durr crowd intensifies*]
- Bad animations
- The horrific revelation that there was a female former EA motion-capture who had small part in doing MEA animations [*Manveer Heir hurr durr + "Ugly" females crowd intensifies*]
- MEA releases
- BW statement on animations/former EA motion-capture employee
- Manveer Heir hurr durr leaves
- BW only says that Manveer Heir hurr durr leaves without a statement about his comments [*Manveer Heir hurr durr + "Ugly" females + The horrific revelation that there was a female former EA motion-capture who had small part in doing MEA animations crowd intensifies*]
- Game buggy [*all the above intensifies*]
- There is literally 1 trans character and less than the amount of your fingers optional gay characters out of total 1200 [*Manveer Heir hurr durr + "Ugly" females + The horrific revelation that there was a female former EA motion-capture who had small part in doing MEA animations + BW only says that Manveer Heir hurr durr leaves without a statement about his comments crowd intensifies*]
Thank you for reading, don't let your history teacher tell you that events unfolded otherwise. #obligatoryedgyhashtag

I'm inclined to agree since I've been playing games for years and didn't really notice any bad animations. Yes there are things in this game that would look ridiculous if you were playing The Last of Us but this is also a game with a very stylized art direction that doesn't really attempt realism. It's like people genuinely don't understand that. It's closer to BioShock or Borderlands than The Last of Us or Uncharted
So yea I'm inclined to believe that a lot of the angst wasn't really about the animations. I'd say 20% real issues, 10% aantiBioWare Agenda 70% bandwagon effect

My bet is that the OP wants to call us bigots, and implies we have a problem with sexual minorities being in the game and we hide our bigotry and other memephobias behind 'bad animations' scapegoat.

man.... inquisition is not perfect but its better than 90% of games this gen. I ve poured 850 hours in its Sp and i kept finding details. People pointing at hinterlands.... That map alone had more soul than the entire world of Nier automata (great music though!) Hinterlands IS a great map. People failing to play inquisition along the journal instead of following the map markers are at fault.

Do you enjoy speaking Polish? I always thought you enjoy German language more, so I'm glad you asked. I absolutely love my language because of how rich and poetic it is. The only sad thing about it is that it is really hard for foreigners to master because it's quite complex. Like, in German you have four forms of a noun - Akkusativ, Genitiv, Dativ and Nominativ, we have seven. The words can be long and oftentimes have clumps of hard consonants in them. Take for example a Polish word for "fractious" or "unruly" (usually used when talking about a child). It's "krnąbrny" (let google read it out for you). I love this word, but when you're a foreigner I doubt you'll ever use it because you'll never get the pronounciation right without living here for a number of years. I just hope I do not embarass myself when I'm writing in English here, especially when I try to be funny and use lazy neologisms like "memephobias" which I used as a blanket term for all the trans- , islamo-, fat-, etc. words that are all the rage the last couple of years.

ME3 had it's issues and DAI was a buggy mess for a lot of people as launch as well. And the oldest title which has always caused Bioware grief for them and their fans is SWTOR. It doesn't help that the game is tanking hard right now. Players and former players view it as being used as a cash cow without Bioware putting in to much of anything back into the game. But one big mistake for them was shutting down their very on forums where they could of mitigated the damage from unhappy fans. Now people are voicing their displeasure all over the internet without anyway for them to staunch the flames and it becomes an out of control wild fire.

Yes. It is fortunate one is born in Poland. Most Slavic languages (with the exception of Bulgarian) have elaborate case and gender systems. Still, there are more difficult languages for foreigners to learn. The real question is, is CD Projekt Red worth it, to justify learning Polish?

Yes. It is fortunate one is born in Poland. Most Slavic languages (with the exception of Bulgarian) have elaborate case and gender systems. Still, there are more difficult languages for foreigners to learn. The real question is, is CD Projekt Red worth it, to justify learning Polish? CD Projekt Red has an international team, I believe. The language isn't a requirement in polish gamedev (Techland, CD Projekt and other big players), but it certainly helps. Being based in Warsaw and having a Masters in CS it's my dream job (though they don't have a stellar reputation as an employer), but I doubt I'll qualify this year or even the next one. I mean, I wouldn't learn Polish just for a single company to have a full experience of their products either, especially now that Witcher games are over for the forseeable future. The deal with Witcher games and how organic everything feels like is that it's the franchise that people in their 20s and 30s grew up with. Same with the actual devs. Polish people just know Geralt of Rivia like you know a childhood friend, same with Ciri, Yen and others. It's the same kind of familiarity the international generation Y has with Harry Potter, but more intimate. That's why you can feel the passion the devs had for the characters and the Witcher world. Will CDPR be able to replicate it with Cyberpunk? Chances are they won't, so the next CDPR game will be a true test of creating an RPG in a world that we didn't grow up with (I mean, my cousing had a Cyberpunk rulebook when we were really young, but it wasn't a thing that you talked about with everyone in junior high). So, all in all, it's a beautiful language, but I think that if I wasn't polish I probably wouldn't learn it.

Is it derived from latin as well? In latin you'd have only two more forms to the german's, vocative and ablative. Out of sheer curiosity, what would be the seventh in polish? No, slavic languages aren't derived from latin, but from some kind of indo-european ancestor. I see. Interesting. Well, technically german is of indo-european origins too, but incorporated some latin and greek words (as well as other languages's). I was wondering if polish having different forms was a result of the roman empire 'interferences', or if it was native to that indo-european ancestor.
