Since the patch I'm thinking of starting over, first impressions with Andromeda being a bit botched, no banter, Addison, and my character's eyes being like two glass marbles in every cutscene, etc. I'm concerned that if I start a new Ryder, I will get the bug where the game still has flags down from the previous character. From what I understand, it's possible for the new character to carry over stuff from the other one and is game breaking in the beginning sequence.
Otherwise I could reload my first save game at the beginning with my existing character to avoid that, but wonder if anything in the Profile part of the save files will bork that too. Currently, I have 26 percent game completion and don't want my game to get broken if I roll back to a very early save. Thoughts?

What you describe happens when using New Game+. I have started several new characters and no flags have carried carry over.

I played one NG+ with no bugs whatsoever, but for some reason, my second NG+ ( from the last save of the first NG+) was buggy AF, and this was after patch, although from what I read the bugs I was getting were there before the patch. Sucks a bit, had the Nomad completely upgraded and a ton of leftover resources and researched blueprints that were great to have carryover, but the bugs were too annoying by then. |

I haven't heard of this bug but now I'm considering foregoing NG+ and just going NG again.

What worked for my xbox version, to make a new character anyway. I had to delete the save files from my console but not from the cloud, then rebooted ME:A and had the cloud sync my original saves. Then I was able to make an unbugged NEW Ryder.
Havent tried NG+ yet though.
