holy hell, they can do a crapload of damage and DPS, yet they are squishy as hell
I'm not the type of person that likes to overuse cover but is that the only way to survive with him?
he's a fun character, a legitimate glass cannon but damn, he's squishy as hell(i believe this is the only character that can out DPS the human infiltrator), not only that but he's also a very good boss killer too
If there is a tank on the team, they flourish though. But they don't have powers that mitigate aggro or restore shields so i guess cyclonic III and IV will do for now
It sucks because super charge no longer gives shield(it used to be called adrenaline)(so no extra shield gate), so by the time i get a free reload, my shields would've already been destroyed

frag grenade is a crappy version of sticky grenade btw
but it's still effective if you throw them correctly
flack cannon on the turian havoc is fucking awful(i only use them to stun)
i beleive there's a way flourish with this character, but goddamn, the soldiers are SQUISHY as fuck

I use Capacity mods/evo's and a lot of ammo box running, and NO camping. The soldier class wrecks, but nades are their bread and butter.

How do you throw them? do you cook them and then throw them? or do you throw them AOE? what weapon do you use?

I´m gonna quote myself like a baws: My HSol: TC 4a, 5a, 6a CS 4b FG 4a MT 4a, 5b, 6b FIT 4b Weapon Widow III Totally Destroys silver enemies easily even without boosters and is with boosters fully gold viable. Turbocharge 4a vs 4b I personally find to be dependent on the weapon(s) I plan to use, the heavier the more attractive I find the lower CD. The Rest in TC should be obvious to those that know, for the rest that don´t, I tend to prefer dps over survivability. Concussive gets 4 ranks from me at the moment and I chose 4b solely to be less CD dependent on it. It´s as I said in another thread, first and foremost a Oh fuck button, second a detonator. Frag got 4a damage, no surprise there, though should I ever respec her, I might infact go contrary to my philosophy and go radius. I´ve seen it a couple times now where enemies where able to just ever so slightly dodge my nades. Time will tell though. Munitionstraining should be straightforward as should be fitness. That´s my HSol. I wonder how well she does now that my widow is V, hmmmm. PS: Someone call a doctor, I did infact post something serious, so something must be wrong with me. One change though, got another rank in Frag grenade, namely 5b (Damage over time) If i´m not mistaken. Still destroys.

You have to use proper placement, compensating for the roll/bounce of the nade.If the enemy is close, throw it on the floor in front of you then evade away, you just have to play around with them.It takes a little time but enemies indoors,or in soft cover areas don't stand a chance.I use mine as more of a hit and run player, always on the move.
As for weapon,I'd suggest AR,or SR.I'm still playing around with setups.

That post was done like 5 years ago. Still hadn´t fully adapted to nades in MEA. I can throw them far more reliable now, so radius is pretty much dead now.

Its a shame shotguns aren't better, Shotgun soldier was by far my favorite class in ME3, still fun to use the Hesh on bronze though maybe choke being fixed will help...whenever that happens

Was godly with cooked nades back in the day. May have to start playing human soldier
TSoldier has Fort
Flak Cannon is for aerial bombardment. Spec stun if no Falcon - Havoc is fine with pistol
Havoc is very mobile almost like the asari, so I bombard then melee
