Playing Fallout New Vegas. I couldn't decide how I wanted to deal with the main factions, so I was avoiding the main quest. I also had the thought of wanting to make use of the NCR amnesty, but I think you get that after entering the Lucky 38 for the first time, which I had already done so. So there goes that. I was farming rep with the Legion to gain access to there safehouse, but it appears that doesn't happen until after meeting Caesar, which I didn't want to do yet. Another strike out, no lucky shades. In searching different outcomes I learned that the player can become the leader of the Khans, after completing the quest We Are Legion, in which you wipe out the NCR officers at Camp Forlorn Hope. This was a shock to me, so yeah, I wanted to try this. I pretty much always side with the NCR, and with the amnesty off the table, I was playing around with different solutions to the We Are Legion quest. Also, I was checking out reputation ranks and other info, I gather that if you have more the 2/4 in negative reputation, which doesn't take much as you start with 1/4, it closes out having an overall good reputation. I never realized you can just assassinate most people with a silenced sniper rifle with no reputation loss, but what I had the most fun doing was putting some C4 in the command post at Camp Forlorn Hope and blowing it up. Even though I achieved my goal, it kinda hindered my role playing completing the quest without any reputation loss, even if there were no witnesses I think they would still be suspicious. Haha. So I made sure there was a witness to my last kill. I have the rep Good Natured Rascal, which I'm pretty sure is still good rep. I briefly tried to roleplay as a spy in the Legion, but the game doesn't give you much help with that, so now I moved on to doing as many things against Legion interests as possible before meeting Caesar.

Ok, today we catch a rare animal right out of the gate just by trying a new high end bait (which can still catch low tier fishes) and we get the amazing Pirarucu:

Been working through Forbidden West. Overall it's been pretty good, though I do find the side quests a bit lackluster. So far most I've ran into are all very similar. Mainly somebody has failed to report in please go check on them, or help us kill this machine etc. But the main plot and the side missions involving the main cast have been much more enjoyable. I also find myself just running around and taking in some of the sights because the game looks amazing. Aloy with my favorite armor and dye so far. Some of the other newer armors look pretty cool but I think they can be a bit too heavy/bulky. And just a snap I took while exploring

Hello, we go back to The Lands Between and gather up a lot of needed skill in order to discover the way towards the Frenzied Flame and don't worry, we won't use it (not yet anyways):

I had Persona on the brain, so I went back and finally finished my P4G playthrough I dropped over a year ago. I was nicely settled into playing and started thinking, its got to be about time to start preparing to fuse Yoshitsune. So first thing, check the Tower Confidant, see how far along it is, and no Tower Confidant. LOL. Well it wasn't looking good, as you pretty much need the confidant maxed out to unlock Yoshi's best skill in any sort of timely manner. Good thing you have loads of free time in January, time to tutor some kid. ^Shu the Tower Confidant. You almost had me kid. Yes I have an ulterior motive, no its not the money. LOL. ^Its not the best by any stretch. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it. Other than levelling him to unlock Hassou Tobi, my only real goal was to put Apt Pupil on him for the crits. In the end I barely used the guy at all, I suppose that is what NG+ is for. So I beat a certain detective a little prematurely. It wasn't till after that I had the worry that the game was going to skip ahead. Well I got burned, lost ten days or so in December. I wasn't too worked up, but for whatever silly reason I had felt the need to overwrite my pre-boss save immediately after. ^Me, two seconds later. Haha. And that was before it was confirmed that, yes, the game skips ahead.

More progress in Talos Principle 2. Had an 'incident' in the Megastructure and now have to find a solution, which means, keep going! The locations and structures in this game are fantastic. The second trip to the Megastructure was quite literally a trip though, as you have to constantly climb walls and turn all different 3-dimensional directions in order to solve the interior puzzles. Not recommended for folks with vertigo.
Edit: bought the expansion Road to Elysium and installing it now, though I might pause it so I can actually play something. Also pre-ordered the Diablo IV expansion, Vessel of Hatred, and uninstalled Skyrim and AC Origins to clear space.

In my last post I mentioned having Persona on the brain, it all started after humming and hawing about the premium edition of Persona 3 Reload. I'm not a fan of Atlus'/Sega's price gouging or whatever you wanna call it, so I've been waiting, even with a sale the game and the expansion pass was still going to cost an arm and a leg, so in the end I didn't pull the trigger. Fast forward a week, and I learned that the expansion pass is free with Gamepass ultimate, its free until January if anyone else is interested. So I grab that and the game, cancelled Gamepass. The next month or two is Persona 3 Reload time! Haha. Five seconds in, the ambient tracks are hitting me in the feels. I will say I am going to miss the cutscenes in FES though, they were so well done.

BG EE Definition of insanity something something. Made it to the Bandit camp without the main char dying (Rasaad did though. Over and over and over...Could fit the crew with Ankheg armor with the cash I've been using to revive him. He's just too damn pleasant). Anywho the big Tent ended the whole stint with the damn poison arrows and a fear spell. And helped a bit by me kinda loosing interest since I wasn't feeling the crew but also couldn't bring myself to let any of them go and aaaaaah. And the novelty of being an arrowhead away from game over had also kinda worn off. And think the only achivo is for Legacy of Bhaal difficulty and just no. Absolutely not. Nu-uh.
But it's been fun. So will probably poke at it some more. Also been having a blast listening to the music I did when I played the game the most.

I just finished Gris yesterday. While on the short side (I read about that before starting it), the music and art were beautiful. The healing at the end moved me to tears. It's a keeper.
I just started Arcade Spirits with a custom female avatar. I decided to leave the tone indicators on in this visual novel to help me maintain a consistent approach. The main character has been having bad luck, and suffering in pessimistic ennui (a lot of the neutral responses remind me of the space I was in for a phase of my life), but she just started her first day at this arcade that may change her life...

So with those first 3 hubs activated, we now enter the pyramid megastructure we found when we first arrived. And inside we find... probably the best rendition of a Borg ship in gaming.
Digging up one of Hrungr's old posts on Talos Principle 2 (which for some reason has the wrong date stamp)....the interior of the megastructure feels like a cross between an MEA vault and the Deep Roads.
I'm currently in the second south section.....I needed a break from the gravity wall/ceiling walking puzzles. It's just a bit too disorienting to plow through them like the other areas. I hope this is the only section with that feature.
Elsewhere, in Diablo IV I progressed the main story to just before the Act II finale and did more surveying in Starfield. Currently in Olympus system to get the next artifact. I'm dragging Sarah around with me to get her friendship level up to get her quest. It's very slow going.

My day was going pretty well....This afternoon I started playing Ghost of Tsushima again, picking up where I left off. I had only been playing for about 15 minutes and I was engaged in some heated combat- pressing RB, LB, different buttons combos and I was to squeeze the LT on my controller when suddenly *SNAP* I heard and felt something *snap*, and then instantly there was no tension in the LT as there was in the RT....and when I wiggled the controller around I could also hear/feel something jumbling around inside. I'm fairly certain the tension spring snapped. So I immediately saved my game where it was using KB/M, exited the game, packed up the controller...found my receipt (luckily I also had an e-copy of the receipt, and also lucky that I purchased the two-year extended warranty that covered repair-or-replacement for damages/defects) because I took it straight back to my local Best Buy...told the girl what happened...she took one press of the trigger and a little wiggle, then no questions asked, said, "If you want to send it in for repairs you can, but honestly...This brand, POWER-A, is garbage- not worth it. We get a lot of these controllers back within less than a year for this exact reason and even the supposed repairs only last six months. So, go ahead, grab another...grab any other controller you want and I'll ring it through for you. We even have some in the back, not on the shelves that I can show you..."
So this time I picked a genuine Microsoft Xbox/PC Controller- still got the two year extende warranty because who knows, right? But she said the actual legit MS Xbox branded PC Controllers are far superior to any of the third-party ones. She then rang it up...taking the 35.99 CAD value for the POS off the regular price of the new controller....And it still ran me $65.00. Of course, I didn't realize until I was walking out of the store that the new controller is wireless. Ugh. So I tried it...tried to get it set-up, and it's not working. The Xbox button just keeps flashing away and eventually after about 20 seconds, turns off. My PC won't even pick it up.
Gonna need to look into this. Any suggestions? This is why I prefer wired controllers.

Gonna need to look into this. Any suggestions? This is why I prefer wired controllers. Does your pc support bluetooth? I need to use an usb dongle to use my controller wirelessly. It's an xbox one but don't know if we have the same one. Used to prefer wired ones, but had issues with the cord bending funny and had to start using mine wireless and kinda prefer it that way now less risk of being absent minded and yoinking the pc off the desk. On the other hand, it does eat batteries. My controller does have an USB B slot on the top though so I can also use (I think) any USB B to A cord. At least a tiny one I had lying around did the trick so figure any should work. So you could check if yours has one too. Did not have to install anything specific to use mine, but am running Windows so maybe that's the reason.

If your controller is Series S/X or equivalent, it will connect using bluetooth, provided you are using either Windows 10 or 11, if your PC supports it that is, as Curious mentioned. These controllers are USB Type-C for your information. Here is a PCMag article, for your purposes.

As usual I am playing several games (hey - I'm retired, so I have more than enough time, and I spread the games over several day's).
What are those? Well - I am playing Dragon's Dogma 2 right now (I got the game for free with my RTX4070 Super). The other games are Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vegenance, Outcast - A New Beginning, and the newly updated X4: Foundations with the new expansion DLC.
I am planning to do a full play for all Atelier PC games (I just bought the last one, completing the series), starting with the Arland series and thus Atelier Rorona. And of course the BIG one for me to be released soon: The Legend Of Heroes - Trails Through Daybreak. This last one starts in a complete new region (Calvard) with completely new protagonists, so it's even a potential start for newcomers (although you still meet people from the previous games). Of course I am no newcomer, because I played all games from the very first Trails In The Sky (10 games and all one big story connecting them all together).
Anyway - More than enough to do...

Mortuary Assistant
Did the autopsy and embalmed the third body. Then galloping around as the Haunts picked up and timer run down. Basically, I have to pick the right body the demon is occupying, get the right name, stamped it on the body to trap the demon and burn it in the furnace.
Sounds easy, right? . . .
Enshrouded
So I found out that flame altars can be built in ruined settlements and reclaim them. Basically, repair the buildings etc. I've come across a few and have not settled on any because I've a mind to increase the range of the altars first. The bigger the better because having farming plots will be better.
It's easy to get meat because there're wolves, sheep and rabbits all over. Better materials would require further exploration and I'm just pushing my way north. I've already acquired a few crafting NPCs; hunter, smith, carpenter, alchemist and farmer. They all come with their side quests to further expand crafting options etc.

My Motherboard is the Aorus Z490 Master..so it should suppprt BT, in fact I have a few other devices such as my phone connnexted so Im almkst certain it does. I notced a type C connection on the feont of the new ck troller. Can I use the charging cable from my Samsung Galaxy S24+ and plug it into the Type C 3.1 port on my case (if only to pair it)? Thanks

Can I use the charging cable from my Samsung Galaxy S24+ and plug it into the Type C 3.1 port on my case (if only to pair it)? Thanks Admittedly I know zero about computers but I would think so? I can use my charging cord to connect my controllers and use them to play but it's both for A port, but like I don't think it should matter? but again, zero computer knowledge. Doesn't seem like Blast Processor link has any warnings about which type of port you use so. But I don't think it can pair this way, so you'd need to use the cord while playing. Think your computers bluetooth has to see the controller to pair it. But it would just be the same as playing with a wired controller.

Thanks As Curious Crow mentioned, pairing wireless controller using cable might result in forced wired play. While I didn't pair controller specifically like yours, I did pair a few wireless PS5 and Switch controllers to my PC fairly recently. Having bluetooth switched on PC alone is not enough (provided your PC has bluetooth). You need to go into settings for your PC to start looking for device. Usual route for it is Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices > Add Bluetooth or other device > Bluetooth.
